From my family home to my personal room my place of comfort
Hello everyone, Welcome to my blog.
This week's edition of the IndiaUnited writing prompt reminds me of a book I was reading recently with the title "Overload" by Joyce Meyer.
Which talks about the stress and anxiety people have to deal with on a daily basis, and I found that if someone doesn't have a way to relax and ease off the stress, they might soon fall into depression.
One of the ways by which the author talks about dealing with stress is with family, and it resonates a lot with me when I think of how helpful my family was at a time I almost gave up on life, having to wait 10 long years before my admission into the university.
So for me, my first comfort zone is definitely with my family because with them I can be vulnerable without fear of hearing my vulnerability outside.
Most times after a long period of work I just feel like going home to my family because the moments we share together are of great value and comfort to me.
The moments of family devotions, dinner, and a whole lot of other activities make my family home a go-to whenever I need to cool off and take a break away from the noise.
But lately my comfort zone has become my room since I now live alone in school. I love the fact that the room is always cold because of the environment and location of the house.
Here I can have personal fellowship, journal, read, study, and reflect on my goals and dreams.
The fact that I get to do the things I love from the comfort of my room makes it my go-to place every single time.
I have the freedom to cook what I love and build the discipline and values that I want to be known for because, you see, like the popular saying, charity begins at home, and you can't probably be what you are not to your family outside, so if there's a place I always love to retire to at the end of my daily activities, it's certainly my room.
Thanks for stopping by.
