Brandy, public defender [ENG/ESP]

¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Hive Pets! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes una nueva historia perruna. En esta ocasión se trata de mi perrita Brandy, quién en menos de un mes estará cumpliendo una década de vida. La vida con Brandy ha sido muy buena y nunca habría imaginado lo increíble que sería tenerla conmigo, pues ciertamente Brandy es una perrita con una personalidad carismática, graciosa, social y siempre con mucha bondad para con los miembros de la familia.

Just a few hours ago, I took Brandy out and came back from changing the sheet she'd put on the couch for them to sleep on. While I was doing so, Brandy was excited and started chasing the ball. I wasn't paying much attention to this because I was hanging the sheet out, but suddenly my partner arrived in the living room. Brandy loves her dad, but for some reason, she always, always, always defends me from him even if we're just playing or not even interacting enough. She senses the threat and starts barking (hahaha). Well, I had just finished putting the sheet on and Brandy dropped the ball, as he stared at it and started barking frantically.

Justamente hace unas horas, saque a Brandy y llegué cambiando la sábana que colocó en el sofá para que ellos duerman. Mientras lo hacía, Brandy estaba emocionada y comenzó a buscar la pelota. Yo no estaba muy pendiente de eso porque estaba tendiendo la sábana, pero de repente llegó mi pareja a la sala. Brandy ama a su papá, pero por alguna razón, siempre siempre siempre, me defiende de él aunque solo estemos jugando o ni siquiera interactuando lo suficiente. Ella percibe la amenaza y se lanza a ladrar (jajaja). Bueno, acababa de terminar de colocar la sábana y Brandy dejó la pelota, ya que él se quedó mirándola fijamente y comenzó a ladrar frenéticamente.

When that happens, I go over and tell him everything's fine. He walks away or "makes peace" with the dog, but he rarely lets himself be persuaded. It makes me laugh because we were in the living room for most of the afternoon and evening and she was still so defensive. I'm surprised that Brandy, at her age, is so lively and strong because she always finds the energy to do her thing. We took some pictures to remember the moment of the great Brandy, defender of her mom, animal nurse, and ball lover (hahaha). I really love her uncomfortable little face, as if to say, "I don't understand this. I'm not happy about it, but I don't completely dislike it either." Cuando eso sucede yo me acerco y le digo que todo está bien. Él se aleja o "hace las paces" con la perrita, pero pocas veces se deja convencer. Me da risa porque estuvimos casi toda la tarde-noche en la sala y ella estaba todavía con una actitud a la defensiva. Me sorprende que Brandy con la edad que tiene, sea tan vivaz y tan fuerte pues siempre saca energía para hacer de las suyas. Tomamos algunas fotografías para recordar el momento de la gran Brandy, defensora de su mamá, enfermera de los animales y amante de las pelotas (jajaja). Amo mucho su carita de incomodidad, cómo diciendo, "no entiendo esto, no me complace, pero tampoco me disgusta del todo". Tiene una personalidad dinamita y creo que pasará mucho tiempo para que yo vuelva a ver a un perrito así en mi vida. Sin más que decir, muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí.
