Brandy preview: one week after the accident [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Hive Pets community! Today I'm joining you to share with you a sneak peek at how my dog Brandy is doing. I showed her here a few days ago when she had the accident and had to put a cast on her front leg. It's been a week and a day since little Brandy's cast was put on, and a few things have happened in that time. Days of many situations, and luckily, most of them good. Join me for it.

El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un avance sobre cómo sigue mi perrita Brandy, a quién mostré por aquí hace unos pocos días cuando tuvo el accidente y tuvo que ponerse un yeso en su pata delantera. Ha pasado una semana y un día desde que a la pequeña Brandy le colocaron el yeso y han pasado algunas cosas en ese transcurso de tiempo. Días de muchas situaciones y por suerte, la gran mayoría buenas. Acompáñame en ello.
Brandy is naturally a very active dog, so even though she has a cast on her front leg, she still tends to pace a lot and try to jump a little. That's why I've been more attentive than ever to her, making sure she doesn't jump off furniture or climb on high places, run too fast, or... chew on her cast. This has been a struggle with her because there are times when we take off her Elizabethan collar (for example, when we go to sleep at night) and after leaving her alone for that time, we discover that there are bits of cast everywhere in her bed. On one hand, I'm worried that she'll eat the cast, and on the other, that the cast will get damaged and her leg won't heal properly. I had to buy more cast bandages to place over the areas that had lost the material (so it wouldn't lose its firmness). Although it's simple, it's not ideal.
Brandy es por naturaleza una perrita muy activa, por lo que a pesar de que tiene un yeso en su pata delantera, sigue tendiendo a caminar mucho y tratar de saltar un poco. Razón por la cual he estado más pendiente que nunca de ella, procurando que no se lance desde los muebles o se monte en lugares de altura, corra demasiado o... Se muerda el yeso. Tuve que comprar más vendaje con yeso para colocarle sobre las zonas que habían perdido el material (para que no perdiera la firmeza), aunque es sencillo, no es lo ideal.
However, despite all this, Brandy's pain and swelling have decreased. By the way, she was taking dexamethasone to relieve those symptoms. It's good to know that she doesn't feel the pain she used to, and I've been happy to see that she walks a little better. She does need help, though. I was surprised these days when she tried to run away when she saw a neighbor's dog. I think Brandy will finally be able to get rid of the cast soon and be at peace again. Of course, the ultimate goal is for his paw to return to its usual position and for him to feel no discomfort from it. Beyond the relief he'll get from running like Forrest Gump.
