Moderation Is Important In All Things Including Eating Mango Fruit
There is a mango tree at my parent’s home and this mango started fruiting this year. I must confess that it is very juicy and can be very tempting to have every fruit on the tree at once. No doubt mangoes are good for us considering that it comprises of nutrients from calories, sugar, vitamin A,B,C,E, and K, Potassium, and Protein. Mango is greatat boosting immune system and improving digestion but in all this, is taking mango everyday a good idea?
Unless we want to paint our darling mango bad we cannot say it doesn’t have great sides. It is good at inflammation reduction thanks to it being packed with mangoferin, an antioxidant and anti inflammatory compound which helps to reduce inflammation in the body. Asides mangoferin, there are other anti-inflammatory compounds in mangoes Quercetin which has been seen to be helpful in the reduction of inflammation in asthma and arthritis patients.
The presence of vitamin C in mango help to promote hair health thanks to its contribution in the production of collagen which is protein that helps to strengthen hair, promotes its elasticity, and prevent breakage. Asides vitamin C, it also has beta carotene which is a precursor of vitamin A, a essential vitamin for the production of sebum which is useful in the lubrication of the scalp and the hair thereby improving hair growth and development. Vitamin E is an antioxidant useful in the repair of hair follicles and damaged hair. It improves blood circulation in the scalp, promoting hair growth.
Mango is rich in iron which is needed for red blood cell production. Iron helps heme to bind to oxygen thereby allowing oxygen to reach every part of the body. Asides its impact on red blood cells, it also imrpoves white blood cells, thereby improving the immune system. It is also a good source of dietary fiber promoting the growth of gut bacteria in the body. It is great in reducing oxidative stress in the blood, help in nail growth, boost heart health, and aid digestion. Study also shows that it may ease symptoms of asthma.
Now that we are done with the great deeds of mango, we cannot forget that overconsumption of mangoes can be bad. All good things when consumed in excess have their negative side effects. Since mango is a fiber fruit, overconsumption of it could lead to diarrhea and this is as a result of high fiber in the body.
Because it is fruit doesn’t mean it is free of sugar. People who are diabetic can be at risk of sugar spike if too much mango is consumed. It is also very high in calories which could lead to weight gain. People with allergies to mango can also suffer health concern after consuming mangoes. Obesity is another reason not to take mangoes in excess. Taking too many mango can lead to increase in weight as it contains high calories. In other to fall victim of these health risk, you must have taken excessive amount of mangoes and must have taken it for a long time.

Hey
@busted1
, your post about moderation is spot on. Balance really counts, like when I watch too much TV and my eyes hurt or eat tons of snacks and feel bad. Doing things just enough makes me happy. It’s tough because I love fun things, but too much causes trouble. Your examples were clear, and I think everyone will like this post. It’s like a tip to stay chill. Thanks for sharing this. It’s super smart.

When people see things for free they tend to consume a lot of it, it is important that we understand moderation even when we find free things.
