Bed Bug(s) In My Home.
I'm still in shock after my experience early this morning. I spotted a bed bug in my house - of all the insects, it had to be bed bugs, arrghh!!.

I was on the bed, meditating when I saw it spring out from nowhere, paused for a second, and then started off again. At first, I thought it was one of these small cockroaches, so I reached for a tissue paper, picked and pressed it to death, while also cursing it for entering my space without permission. Lol.
Feeling satisfied that I had exterminated it, I opened the tissue paper to be double sure that it was dead, but I ended up being shocked by what I saw - bloodstained tissue, a pungent smell oozing from it which almost made me throw up.
Flash back - moment of realization - bed bug
"Oh no, this can't be. How on earth did it find it's way into my house and on my bed?" I cried out.
Immediately, I removed the beddings, and frantically searched every corner of the mattress to see if I could find more, but didn't. I heaved a sigh of relief, even when I knew that it's shortlived, and that there's a likelihood more bugs could be hiding somewhere in my house - on the curtains, clothes, shoes, bags - just anywhere that seems habitable to them.
Having bed bugs in your home is a nightmare, in fact, a horrible experience, and I wouldn't wish that for anyone. These little creepy creatures are stubborn, breed in hundreds per minute and can invade an entire house, causing the inhabitants to abandon to abandon it. I kid you not.
This is where my fear lies, and I've thought so hard, while trying to wrap my head around how they got in. I'm usually meticulous about cleanliness and equally cautious about where I go or places I visit. I'm really struggling to understand how this happened, and it's frustrating. 😢
It's even worse as I'm not certain if there are more hiding somewhere. Seriously, I don't want to go through the same experience I had while growing up.
Back then, it just happened that we started seeing bed bugs on our mattresses. No one had an inkling how they got in, and eliminating them was a daunting task. They infested every corner of our rooms - curtains, mattresses, pillows, doors, windows. Sleeping was torture, with bites and pinches everywhere. Ah!, they really feasted on our bodies. 😢
We tried various insecticides, including a mixture of "camphor and kerosene", and overhauled the entire house. It took time, but we finally got rid of them.
For all these years, I've not seen a bed bug again until now. It's even ironic that I discussed bed bugs with a friend not quite long, unaware that I'd soon be dealing with them myself. I really feel apprehensive about them infesting my house and the challenges of getting rid of them.
I can't let them bug me out of my house so I'll tackle them heads on. 😂
Before leaving for work this morning, I sprayed insecticide around the rooms, and by tomorrow I'll visit the chemical dealers market to see what I could find. I just hope I'll be able to tackle them before further spread.
Pray for me.

Oh, no!! I'm so sorry. I feel the same way about Lice too. Ever since I had Lice, I’ve been so afraid of them, and I see everyone as a carrier.
I haven’t been in my apartment for months, but I’ll be going there tomorrow, reading your post about bedbugs has intensified my fear oooo😩😩
Ah, that lice is another epidemic. 😂 I'm always careful with the salons I visit as I do not want to contact it since it's rampant these days, especially with individuals who carry natural hair.
I appreciate your concern, thank you.

Chai, those tiny insects are deadly o. They can cause a nuisance before you blink.
Abeg that chemical market should be your next stop.
Sorry about this stress.
They're deadlier than mosquito. I couldn't even sleep well last night for fear of them. 😢
Sure, I will.
Thanks you.
Have a lovely weekend ahead.

Same here sis 😂😂
This is a tough one. Damn! Bed bugs are suckers. Sometimes I wonder how they came into this earth, what use they are.
I can imagine how anxious and afraid you might be feeling at the moment. But just take it easy and do find a way to eradicate them off, if they're more.
Sending you !HUG

Bed bugs are awful! I got them in a hotel once and it was miserable. Hopefully you get rid of them quickly so you don’t have to worry about it!
Ah, I've heard and read tales of how people get bed bugs from hotels and some other places. That's why I'm particular about where I visit.
Thanks for your concern.
