Too Late Now

Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to talk about how frustrating it is to get something that is a pain in the ass to consume!

Too Late Now

Is something too big for you to swallow?!?!

Get your dirty mind out of the gutter... :D that's where mine went too!!

These days, one of the things that we are all likely doing at one point or another is taking some sort of pill. Hopefully it's just vitamins and not something more intense like blood thinners, but regardless we are all having to take something to survive in this increasingly toxic and hectic world.

One of the things that's really freaking annoying is when you order something like a vitamin.. and the thing ends up being FUCKING ENORMOUS LOL.

This has happened to me a few times and it sucks!

There are a few things I take on a regular basis, especially at night. Magnesium is one of them, because it is an incredibly important nutrient that we are largely lacking in sufficient quantities in our regular diets. I don't love replacing it via a pill, but it is what it is.

The magnesium I ordered had great reviews.. everything looked good but it's really impossible for them to show you how the pill looks in a picture until you see it in front of you. Those fuckers were GIANT. I was annoyed LOL

The problem with this type of thing happening is that of course I spent money on them.. so I'm not going to throw the damn things away. I have to consume them so I get my moneys worth, but it's a struggle to consume the things daily. As of writing this, thankfully I've JUST finished the bottle.. but then I found a bottle of other minerals that I need to take because they are also helpful, and that mother fucker is even bigger than the one I was complaining about.

With the way our food system is going, with nutrients leaving it at an increasing rate, sadly there really isn't much of a choice to not be taking these kinds of things. It would be nice to be able to get all of our nutritional and vitamin needs from our food, but in the day and age that we live in, taking supplements is sadly a fact of life if we want to be relatively healthy and capable of taking on the world.

This was something that took me several years to admit. I hope I'm not shooting myself in the foot because these days, I take a number of things for my daily health and wellness. What were to happen if I just stopped taking most of them? I bet I would largely be OKAY but I would probably feel more tired or something, and we all know that we don't need to feel MORE tired than we already do lol.

I've since switched up the vitamin to a different company and I'm liking this one so far, so I'll see how it all goes and if I need to go back to the one that was fucking enormous or not. I would rather take something more reasonable that I don't dislike, but I also man up and do it if I need to, and when I buy the shit, I need to.

What about you, have you purchased some type of vitamin only to realize the thing was miserable to consume? What happened? Let me know in the comments!

That’s why I’m not fond of ordering online because it’s really different when you can see the product right in front of you and the reason why I prefer to buy in physical store so I can check if I really like it or not, and my money won’t go to waste.

That’s also the reason I’m lazy to take vitamins, especially when they’re big and hard to swallow — but I still need to take them because our body needs them.

At least you were able to finish what you ordered, so your money didn’t go to waste.

Oh for sure ordering them online is tough, but sadly because I take specific and high quality vitamins, it's the cheapest to get them online. In the store is double or triple the price, and that shit sucks lol

Oh that's hilarious, I literally JUST posted about how I started taking B vitamins. And while the size had nothing to do with the post, I can talk about it here! 😀

Yes, I bought these B vitamins, and they're fucking horse pills 😭 And because I am a pussy, I have a terrible gag reflex (I know what YOU'RE thinking 🤦‍♀️), I have to BITE THEM in HALF, and it tastes like ASS! 🤮

But anyway, so far they have been yielding fantastic results 🙏 I have been taking them to help with weight gain, and I have gained 10 lbs. in 90 days!!

That's great you've gained 10 pounds! I remember you saying something about thyroid issues. One thing I will say with B vitamins is that methylated ones are the best quality. Ones that are made with folic acid and other types of acid are synthetic. They work, sort of but methylated ones are the ones that are best bio-available. They aren't super expensive either, you just have to look up specifically methylated and you'll get lots of results!

Gag reflexes are lame LOL thankfully I don't have one that's overly annoying and I can take these horse pills pretty consistently without an issue but every few weeks I have a night where I have to drink a LOT of water to get the shit down!

For someone like me that depends totally on my diet to get the nutrients I need...😂

But, if the content of the bottles taste as the usuals, you just have to continue until you exhaust them. I don't support throwing them away if they're chemically good.

Yeah for a really long time I didn't take any vitamins. I try to maintain a smaller amount, compared to some and try to intake the things in food as much as I can but there are important gaps we have in our diets these days that are sadly only filled with supplements

Yes, you're very correct. Sometimes diet can't give us the appropriate amount needed. That's why we have nutrients such as Vitamin in medicine form👍

I take a potassium pill every morning that is pretty big and gritty so it gets stuck in my throat all the time. It's horrible. There was this once cycle where they gave me a different version of the pill that was coated and that was amazing, but then it was right back to the horrible ones.

Hahaha I'm sure you can find better alternatives to something like that.. don't trust a pharmacy to give you the best stuff!

It's quite a marathon for the throat to take in such big pills lol. I remember trying to take a huge pill that was like half of my thumb, tried breaking it into pieces but it was really a failed attempt as the coating was quite strong. Naturally, it got stuck in my throat and I had to drink a lot water to take it down!

Yeah those ones are the worst lol just make them smaller and have me take more than one you jerks!

Sometimes I wonder why they don’t make these pills smaller. I guess they think we all swallow what’s bigger so it shouldn’t be a bother 😎
