It Was Bound To Happen
Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to end my streak of double-post free days :D

It Was Bound To Happen
So it finally happened.. double posting! :D
I've been pretty good about getting things written and scheduled ahead of time, for quite a while now. Every now and then though.. there are posts that get scheduled that I forget about, especially when they are on different front ends!
I was doing really well.. where I was scheduling posts and remembering to check both of the front ends like PeakD or Leo for which post is going where. The other day though.. it finally happened where I forgot about a Leo post and it went at the same time as one of my regular PeakD posts LOL oops!
I know it's not a big deal.. but for me in some ways it is. I don't like to double post, because that could have been a post for a different day. It was too late that I didn't catch it and it already got some attention so I had to say fuck it and leave it alone. The biggest thing for me with that is that it consumed a post that should've gone on a different day!! Damn! LOL
I'm pretty glad that it hasn't happened much, mainly because I am limited with the time I can spend on the blockchain. I Have figured out a semi-decent schedule in that I can write one or two posts a night and get to some engagement and voting before I end up going to sleep. Tonight I'll be doing much the same, except with a little bit of a later cadence to it since I was doing a few things before I could hop on the chain.
Yes at the end of the day it's not the biggest issue in the world. I am thinking that I am just more annoyed at myself for not remembering that I had a Leo post coming up. I thought I didn't, but it's one of those things where we are really busy and running around, that there is bound to be something that gets missed.
I think back though on people like Galen, Taraz and even Task who post multiple times a day, sometimes from multiple accounts a day. That's insane and way too much work for me hahaha I can barely do one a day with scheduling never mind doing 2 or 3 per day, every day. I guess when you get into that crazy rhythm and you're just having fun churning out content, then you go for it. I know some people have done that but ended up scaling back considerably. It seems fun for a bit, but at the same time it also seems like more of a chore than an enjoyment to me. No thanks!
I'm just glad that my post embarrassment wasn't posting the same thing from two different front ends! That would be worse, because it is a recycled post and I don't like that! Lol.
What about you, have you made a mistake with something like Hive and posted twice when you only meant to do it once? Let me know in the comments!

haha, lets say that is a nice mistake, at least you can have two post in a day after a logn time, although you need to make more for the future post to keep your daily streak going. But checking on different frontend certainly will open the chance for that mistake. haha
I only use Ecency so it will be much easier for me to check on the schedule post. I also amaze on the ability of some people to make more than one post a day, they are so awesome.
It is a nice mistake :D and indeed it is one of the ones that is less tedious than missing a day, but I know that will also eventually happen to me as well!
I do prefer PeakD for the most part, but I did spend 100 HBD on the Leo membership for a year so I figured I might as well use it lol I don't know if I will renew it next year or not, who knows.
usually not enough content to post multiple times. if i did i would have to much empty days, not that i am great with posting last few months.
Scheduling is great to keep it consistent with time of the post, but i am usually not patient enough to not post it the time i am finished.
Hahah yeah I hear you on the need to post it after you're finished writing! What I ended up doing with that one day is I wrote 3 posts in a row. Published one immediately, scheduled one the next day and then the day after that. It felt great to do that.. so the next day I wrote 2 or 3 more and just kept pushing them out. Eventually you get in a rhythm and it becomes almost second nature!
For sure though, I may have enough content to post twice a day but that would reduce my length of time I have saved up quite a bit! I think it would also annoy me more than anything, having to constantly do 2 a day. I don't know how some people do it lol
Hope you're doing well! I don't think I've seen you around for a while :D
can't really complain, except on the state/global scale :D
just weird 5-6 months content wise, especially with photography and creative photography :)
and the crypto space became a bit heavy and weird with all the "meme" coins that rug in one day (feels like it dialed down a bit with all that :) ).
haha that's really insane, I can't even write one post each day...but I am doing my best.
Do you have any target number of words to say that "It's ready to publish"
It's actually over 500 as the target. Some of them get close so I figure out what I need to add more pizzazz to with some words. Other posts the words flow easily and before I know it I'm at 900 haha.
I was where you are one day before man believe me! My best streak for a really long time was 6 days, I couldn't even hit 7. Then I figured out a little rhythm and it started to flow much easier. It helps that I've got a kiddo that's got a really nice and busy life so I get plenty of things to talk about and pictures to take!
Personally, I really admire your dedication and planning especially while managing your life outside the blockchain.
Staying organized like that isn’t easy. 😄
Yeah staying organized is tricky! I don't do it very well but there are for sure some areas I can do well!
Hahaha I get what you mean!
I think I rarely double post.. Sometimes I think there are some deadlines for those entries for some activities/contests in various communities so I do that to meet the deadline for participation. Other than that, I think I am quite chilled, like you said, it shouldn't become a chore. And I do want to leave some time for other hobbies and commitments in life too.
Yeah I've done that as well where I wanted to enter a community event so I cheated on my posting a little :D
It's important it doesn't become a chore! Life is for so many more things besides being consumed by a hobby. Gotta balance it out!
I think it can be quite a struggle to check in on two frontends for posting. For me, the coordination will be hard in terms of scheduling, such as which day will this post gets posted and from where and what post comes after that on which frontend.
Mad respect to those who post more than once a day and it doesn't feel like a chore, it's really an advance type of writing structure.
Yeah I don't check both often but if I know I've got a Leo post coming up I'll try to remember the day. For example today was the Leo post but yesterday I couldn't remember if it was yesterday or today lol so I paused yesterdays post until I confirmed it was not yesterday for Leo.
Yeah the multi per day post people are wild haha. Taraz has been doing it for years and Galen did it for a long time as well. Nuts!
