Let Us Appreciate Everyone's Efforts In The Area Of ​​Encouragement. .

Hello everyone. You always have to value talented youth and give them the opportunity to showcase it. I want to talk about something that is very concerning in the entertainment industry especially in Nigeria. As a talented youth, the first thing you have to do is value what you have because many are trying to get what you have now.

Talent is a gift from above but I don’t know if there are people who have talent and keep hiding it. They don’t want to or don’t know how to showcase it. In the entertainment world, no one has talent unless you don’t understand the field you specialize in. If you are in music, film or podcasts, try to get someone you know is very good at it, people like producers, directors or writers so that your content is quality and unique. Don’t get into a competition that you will later regret. If you are trying to get messages out to the world through your music, film or podcasts, you have to do very well by getting the right people in the entertainment world. The director is a high-level manager within an organization who is responsible for overseeing the operations and management of a specific department or function, ensuring that the goals of that area are achieved efficiently and effectively by coordinating resources and activities within their domain – essentially, they are the leader of a particular business function such as marketing, finance, or operations. They are the ones who make the overall decisions. Producers will come up with story ideas and hire writers or choose and secure the rights to scripts. This is known as “optioning” a script. They decide the scale and budget of the film and seek funding from investors, studios, and distributors. So, these people are the people you need to talk to about the content. On the entertainment side, you can never run the entire process alone. That’s why we have these people I mentioned in the industry to complete the entire project. You deal with billions of people around the world and you expect a good recommendation from them, so you need to work hard on yourself. Everyone has their own field to operate in. You can be a good musician but not too good at writing music. That is the area you will need a good writer to help you. Getting a good script for a song does not mean you are a bad musician. Getting a good writer for a movie shoot does not mean you are a bad actor, producer or director. Like I said, everyone has their own field to operate in.

Nollywood keeps churning out predictable movies because they refuse to give emerging artists a chance to showcase what they have. Look at our society today, most of the youth are now content creators, they create content here and there and they are making it. What am I saying? Sometimes you will have to create content and you will be confused about how to start. At this point, you will need something good at it to help you, that is why one person cannot direct the entire project. I know some people who are very talented at writing songs or movies but they are not good at singing or acting. Let me use Mr. P from P-Square as an example here, he sang a recent song which won but written by Ghanaian writer calypso. You see, those that mean Mr. P has no talent? That's what I'm saying. Don't say I'm a promising musician, you won't get a good writer, try hard.

I am talking about music and movies right now because that is what I love to do, although I don't sing or act but I write and edit both. My complaint is basically about the Nollywood aspect but some record labels owner are trying building upcoming artists people like Olamide, Davido, Don Jazzy and the rest. You will see how the music industry in Nigeria is much better than Nollywood. In Nollywood, one person can control more than three positions at the same time, that is why we don't understand our creative abilities in the film aspect.
Why am I concerned about this issue? Well, some of us content creators hate corrections and are always in a hurry to get things done. That is why Nollywood today is churning out rubbish, producing predictable and meaningless movies all over Nigeria. Please let us take a look at the world of entertainment before we release it to the world. Thank you so much for your support and time. I appreciate it.
