Rising Star Weekly Giveaway #220 and Town Where the Lights Went Out

Here is my weekly status and giveaway. I also talk about an OST track that I like. Please make sure to read the rules to qualify for the giveaway. I chose a track from a game that I played in the past. There is also a new seasonal musician and mission out this week.

Town Where the Lights Went Out

I chose Town Where the Lights Went Out as this week's track because it's a somber track to listen to, and you know that something serious happened. It's been quite busy and I honestly did not have much time until later during the week as I focused on work. This track plays in Trials in the Sky Second Chapter after a massive event caused an orbal shutdown. Think of it as an entire country losing access to electricty and having to fend off daily lives with monsters living outside the cities as well. It showed how dependant people were on electricty and how badly it could affect the lives of the entire country. The only thing that I think is wrong about the track is that it should be country instead of town. There are two versions of this track, but I think the EVO version is better. I feel that the arrangement of the instruments is better there even if EVO tracks tend to lose out to the original on average.

I think about the Liber Ark when I listen to this track. This was the source of the orbal shutdown in the game, and you are left trying to figure out the situation in the country afterwards. You do eventually get aboard the Liber Ark towards the end of the game to solve the issue. I think that it really sits in your mind when you see how Liberl was almost invaded by another country using the orbal shutdown as a reason. The image comes from the wiki for Liber Ark.

Do you like any of these tracks? If so, why?

I gained 160k STARBITS over the past week. I wasn't so great at the start of the week, but this improved later during the week. Especially yesterday was quite good as I earned quite a decent amount of STARBITS. Either way, the week was better than the previous one. I wasn't lucky with my pack openings as I didn't get a seasonal musician, epic, or legendary card.

Current Ranking

My rank went up by 1. I think it was because of my time played, and maybe I got a few of the new unique cards that I didn't get the week before.

I think the tips are something every new player should know about. It will help people progress in the game and it hasn't really been shared since surya1adiga stopped his giveaways.

  1. Take music lessons when possible to raise skill and reduce ego.
  2. Having lesson specific instruments helps in receiving more skill from that lesson.
  3. Have pizza box to store any pizza received during mission to reuse later.
  4. Buy cold pizza slice if possible. This gives 1 refill every 24hours. Comes very handy when you are low on energy.
  5. If you have enough of cold pizza slice and pizza box, you will never run out of energy.
  6. If you have more fans than skill and you won't reduce the ego , you can use a storage trailer to store unnecessary cards. Or you can list the card in market for an unreasonably high price.
  7. Ego received for a particular mission increases every time you play it. The ego is reset to base level the next day. So, try to play different missions to control the ego gained.
  8. Keep track of your achievements to unlock in game rewards
  9. Buy storage trailer (only if necessary) to keep the cards that might have a negative effect. Like a card with high fan count resulting in ego.
  10. When earning skill points through music lessons, you can earn more points per lesson if you hold more of specific instrument cards. There seems to be base skill which is rewarded irrespective of the card count and then the skill increases depending on the number of the lesson specific card one has.
  11. Try taking up many smaller missions to fill up pizza boxes and have extra energy to play more rewarding missions. But you need to have pizza boxes for this to work.
