some new light painting shots

some new light painting shots

Good Morning and have a great day

I have been able to get out for some early morning walks, even heading out early enough to do some light painting, making the most of it before the sunrise gets so early that even with me being an early riser I sill still get out early enough to catch the sunrise, but not early enough to be dark enough to do light painting, I know most do light painting at night but I'm more of a morning person

Starting with this shot taken by the Fort Rodman in Fort Taber park here in New Bedford I think it makes a nice back drop for light painting

Next up on the pier at beside the boat ramp again, well all these shots are in New Bedford.

This light painting really bothered my shoulder, so I switched after this one to using my left arm to do the light painting

Light painting is basically when you set up the camera and take a long exposure in the dark, and use a torch or some other light sources to make patternsor shapes For my light sourse I have two RGB critter flashlights, that can be set to shine in a variety of colors or patterns of colors, and some attachments I connect to these.

This next one i was using my left hand to move the torches and do the light painting, in this case I used one of the torches for one pattern and then the second one for the other shape, lucky I am ambidextrous so can do just about as well with either arm

Now this may make you laugh this was my attempt to paint a couple of trees , clearly i need to work on and improve these

And a last one to finish off the post

That does look like a lot of fun to do , hardest part is to find an area with not to much light polution.

I like this image because it looks like holographic trees painted on the landscape.

Very cool hobby! That first one came out really nicely in front of Fort Rodman. Then the green one's that look like trees! Very well done. I guess it's a learning curve, you are getting better and better at it!
