Mono Monday selective coloring

Mono Monday selective coloring

Good morning, another week begins may it be a good one for you all

as is my habit on Mondays I am sharing a few mono edits this week, but with a little twist this week.
The last walk I got out on I referred to in last weeks Wednesday walk post when I did a good walk around the port, a spot I often go to in the early morning, but hadnt been during the daylight hours, as short as they are at the moment, for a while.

Oops I got that wrong, the Wednesday walk post I was referring to I will share in a couple of days :)

I guess I should not complain about the short days at least I am not living somehwere where they have periods where the sun never sets ie endless days, and then times whre the sun never rises ie dark all day, I guess it would be cool to experince at some time, but it must do havoc to adjust to with your body and mind cycles gettign totally confused.

OHh well there I go again wondering off at a tangent fromthe photos I am about to share, so lets get to the photos

let me start with this one of a fishing boat with a good amount of rust, with it all color there was to much distraction in the background and the same when all mono, so I decided to try just color for part of the boat and like how it came out

this is behind a restaurant at the port Merrils, I often see this boat there, again I just kept the color of the red of the boat

and DO not worry not all the photos are with reds, but a najorrity of them are, I guess the reds caught my eye when I was selectign which ones ot edit for this post

Now as I said red caught my eye, but blues are always my favorite colors so this next shot is of a blue rope

and back to reds, this old fire station emergency call box, I am sure not in active use anymore with most people having cell phones but I am glad they kept it here , I have sene it many time son my early morning walks but inthe dark or semi dark it never caught my eye for a photo but in daylight it did and here it is

I love the photographs of boats, what a beauty, the first one is like a painting by Quinquela Martin, Argentinean painter. I love it😍

I love these! I like all the colours, but there's just something extra special about the red.

Very well done 👍 nice upgrade to mono shots. I like the rust and the firebox. Seems like in those the color adds meaning to the photos. Red for rust, red for fire.

I hope it's not too cold today, and it's nice that the days are finally getting longer! Those were some great pictures with color on monochrome. I've never tried that before, but it came out nice. The blue rope is pretty cool!
