Wednesday Walk with a little surprise .

Good afternoon ,

This morning after dropping the wife at work, i went back to the nature reserve "De Schammer "to explore an area that i hadn't visit before .

The hands shows my last walk in this area and this time i was going to follow the blue line and then the yellow line to the right all the way back to the car that is parked at the red squares area .

After 2 hours i was back at the car with 475 photos .... , i picked out some of them the rest will be for archive and trashcan.

1 ) the first thing i spotted was a Grey heron hunting near the reet , i should have brought the tripod and big lens , good reason to go back again .

2 )The sun was playing hide and seek behind the clouds .

3 ) And then you turn a corner almost no clouds left , but left and right was plenty of water , according to people there should also be kingfishers here but haven't seen them yet .

4 ) and the next corner we see some clouds again , reed on the left side and some kind of swamp on the right .

5 ) Red clover flower bud this one is taken with the LAOWA lens .

6 ) on the left a farm and clouds are fading , also taken with the laowa lens

7 ) Flowering Erica

8 ) and also flowering Heath , you could smell them very well .

9 ) a see through between two tree lines sun behind the trees but the clouds are still there .

10 ) And then something i wasn't expecting at this time of the day .

11 ) it was trying to smell if i was danger or not, i was lucky the wind was facing me.

12 ) it was eating the blackberies , it did kept eye contact so i decided to make my self smaller by sitting on the ground.

this is the closest it got to me +/- 10 meters distance not a bad catch with a 105mm lens on a wednesday morning .
13 )

All images taken by me @stresskiller with my Sony A7IV + Sony 24-105mm F4 G OSS or the LAOWA FF 15MM F4.5 .

I will be posting the other photos later , but for now i need to go and collect my wife again from work .

It's such a cute gazelle. It looks at you with such affection. It's a real sweetheart; blackberries are truly delicious.

Aha!! A “Bigma” owner!!! :-D Have been thinking about that one quite often, but never made the step :-)
Used to have the EOS EF 100-400 though, and now the RF800 f11. Both fun for birds indeed!!

Hello, happy day.
In this community if I can comment.
Glad you stopped by the reserve, you have good images, I really liked the shots, 1,2,4,7,13.
I was going to tell you in the last post, that I used the Ufraw gimp plugin, for the Raw images.
But I'm going to try the one you recommend, to see how it goes for me.
My best wishes.

I've been using Linux for about 20 years, and I got used to Gimp muco and I do almost everything with it at the image level.
