Not every day that we will see these lovely sights.

Oh yes, even when the Hive price play a fluctuating game, I don't allow it to affect the quality of my posts, as I simply continue to post quality stuff, instead of toning down to suit the situations,

My way of doing posts is that I must like what I see, and if not, then I simply don't post it. I have hundreds of unpublished photos, and they will stay unpublished simply because I don't like them for one reason or another. It would be so easy during the low prices to haphazardly select a few of the photos, and to do a 5 minute post, but then I will not be true to myself, as I regard myself as a picture journalist. In fact, I am a registered member of the photographic society of south africa, but now the annual fund increases have climbed beyond our affordability, and I will have to abstain from the membership, until we can afford it again.
But you know what I will say here :))

I focused on the radio signal towers of the mountain range, and the peak is called "Hans se kop", meaning Hans's head.
146.JPG

I was happy to get a flock of birds flying across the face of Hans's head.
150.JPG

This was where I was standing to take the pictures of the radio towers that you can see at the left of the picture.
151.JPG

The cloud cover started to draw a diagram on the peak.
170.JPG

A very arty upside down "T" shape on the peak.
156.JPG

A bit later, I saw another peak on the mountain range peeking at me through the clouds.
161.JPG

Helloo! A closer look at that eye in the cloud, and amazingly there was a spot of sunlight on it.
164.JPG

The last picture reminds me of the saying; to search for the light in every storm, and I think that everyone should peep through the many storm clouds that occurred in their lives in the past, such as grief, solitude, loneliness, failures, accidents, I can go on and on, but one thing that I can say, is that sooner or later each of the storms somehow ended and only remain in our memory banks. My memory banks are starting to close down for self preservation, as they are overflowing and their seams are starting to crack :)
Oh, and another thing that the peeping eye picture taught me is that we all have the strength of a mountain within, and we simply have to endure.
I don't know if anyone reading this will see it the same way that I do, but you are welcome to mention your own thoughts in the post comments below.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

imagine living on that mountain top and needing to go down on a daily base just to go to school ....

but you do get a great view from up there .

I used to be a member of a photographic society in the other city , stopped my membership because of the move to other part of the country.

we can always discuss photography online no need to come together for that .

The photo's we don't post i know i have plenty of those on my Network storage , maybe one day i feed them to my own AI as a basic of what i don't like .

Nah, even though that is a small mountain, no one will be allowed to live up there, but you have a good imagination Mick !LOL

A guy that works on the towers promised to me with my camera to snap the views, but that was about 8 years ago, and he never contacted me to go with him.

It is good to be a member of a photographic society, but we cannot afford the increasing membership fees. Glad that you were also once a member of one.

And I bet that when you publish the photos that you don't like, somebody will like the photos.

What a joy and blessing it is to live so close to nature. It is from her that we learn as you say that we are in a world and everything is fleeting. From the storm to the calm and both are beautiful.
I am glad that we can continue to enjoy your beautiful photographs.
