Some amazing shots.

The culprit was a storm wind and look what it did.

Shake rattle and roll, is the way that I would describe the result of a fierce wind that shook this camellia tree.

But one can even find beauty in the damages, as the flowers came raining down from the camellia tree. At least the flowers had a soft landing in the pools of rainwater and mud below the tree. As I came closer to the tree I remembered that last year, during winter, the exact same thing happened, I think that I even posted about it, and this time was not much different except for the last two shots.

Camellias bloom during the winter season, and as we are in a winter rainfall area it would be natural for the storm winds to strike the trees. At times, with severe consequences, the winds are so strong that they can even uproot trees. Thankfully not in this case, and during our next winter season the same thing will happen again, and I will simply take the shots again, just because of the beauty of the flowers in the water.

Here is another one in the water, and I like the little riffles around the flowers, created by a soft wind that rocks the flowers in the water.

The Hadeda Ibis birds are happy with the storm winds, as they create seats for them to sit on and even to preen themselves, like this couple.

This was once a lovely Jacaranda tree, but you can see what the wind did to its branches.

Nature is in some ways akin to our lives, as we also have smooth seasons and bad seasons to overcome the ups and downs of life. This is what they call it, but nature also shows us rebirth after every storm. The good and bad times in our lives are simply there to shape our characters, and very much like nature we also emerge stronger after every bad episode. Sadly, there are also others that succumb to the storms, and like the tree with the birds they remain broken.

Life is not easy, but it is what we make of it. It is all about the choices that we make, and our jails are full of those that made the bad choices. But then again, thankfully there are many that make the right choices. I am one of those that makes both, good and bad, choices, but fortunately I have survived against many odds.
Such is life.
