Great sunset views.

This is the second part of the sunset post that I did 2 days ago.

I told you that it would be different, so come and enjoy the views.

In the previous post I focused mostly on landscape views of the sunset, and in this post now I concentrated more directly on the sun. Ever so slowly the sky started to turn into a dramatic red color and a strong wind was also moving the darker clouds along at a strong lick. Thankfully, we had a grandstand view next to a road that ran over the top of a hill, and so there were no obstacles in the way, as one could see the ocean on the horizon.
An ideal spot to take sunset photos.

This was what it looked like previously.
135.JPG

Look at the change the sky started to take on, a deep red color when I zoomed in.
136.JPG

A strange band appeared at the bottom of the sun's orb.
141.JPG

Ah! It was a strip of cloud at the bottom.
144.JPG

Here is a zoom of the previous shot. The sun started to drop down through the strip of cloud.
147.JPG

Then the dark started to set in.
145.JPG

And here was a final shot before the sun disappeared.
149.JPG

A final unzoomed shot showed that the show was over.

An amazing tapestry in the sky, of colors, clouds, and force of the wind shifting the clouds across the sun's face. To see it with the naked eye was so much better as it really kept my eyes trapped. But I hope that the camera work was not too bad, and that it can give you a fair idea of what things look like out there. A heavenly charade of beauty that one does not often see, and we truly enjoyed it.

No artist can conjure up anything like this, as Mother Nature is the supreme artist, and she inspires so many of us to also create on canvas and with cameras. We find a deep peace when we watch these scenes unfold around us. We can't wait every day, to see what is in store for us and for the camera. No matter how hot the day may be, we so love to wait for nature all around us to show itself. What a blessing.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Wow, this is truly an extraordinarily beautiful phenomenon. The extraordinary combination of red sky, strong wind and dark clouds makes the sunset appear dramatic. You are truly lucky to be able to enjoy this moment in a strategic location.

Didn't know that the sun can be this beautiful! But then it's the skills of the artist that matter as well!😄
Amazing shots! Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful and strange! The sun with those stripes resembles telescope photos of planets, Jupiter, or Saturn. You made some unique captures; I've never seen such a sunset.

Thank you Dan. We sit outside at night to count the roving satellites among the stars, and my dream is to get one of them on camera. The sky holds many treasures, and the sun is only one of them.
Glad that I could show you this sunset, and I hope that you will also see one in the future

Blessings and !BEER

With pleasure!
I was also fascinated by the night sky as a child and as a teenager when I lived in the country, in a place without pollution, when I could see the stars and the Milky Way better. I remember those times with nostalgia.
Now I can see satellites even in the city sky, with fewer (visible) stars... I don't know how it could be in a photo, but a movie would probably be more spectacular. However, I don't know if it is possible.

Glad that you saw the milky way as a child, and a city sky is too bright with lighting too see much in the sky. We are researching the satellites and fortunately there is a program here called Stars and Planets. They will soon have a visitor from the USA that will present a series on the satellites, and we will attend the shows. Maybe I will get a better idea on how to get them on camera.
