Littlebee4 is on the road again… 🧳🚐 crossing lots of countries.

IMG_6795.jpeg

If you were thinking… littlebee4 is quite this last week. You are right.
Guess what?… I am on the road again. Traveling several countries up north by a little van. We will be driving about 3500 km probably a bit further as we take the SCENIC route… haha
You know I was on holidays for several weeks in southern France 🇫🇷 I will show you its beauty soon in new posts.
Since a few months I have had exciting plans going forward. Like; At the end of summer I will be moving countries again. (Yep again)
To do so ourselves… I bought a little old working van 🚐 a Fiat Ducato from 2012 and I have put in a mattress in the cargo space, that’s about 8m3. (Meaning we move with the van 2 times our belongings south 📦📦)

For our journey north, right now, I gathered camping supplies. Like foldable chairs and little tables. A camping stove to cook etc... the basics you would need on the road. So we can sleep anywhere and eat.

Last Saturday we started driving from Montpellier, southern France 🇫🇷 up north. As right now we drove 2130 km already. We went from France to Belgium to the Netherlands… (just up to Venlo) and crossed into Germany.

Sadly we didn’t have much electricity or internet data the last week on the route… while driving north.
Today (Friday) I caught a ferry ⛴️ again… from Travenmünde Germany 🇩🇪 to Trelleborg Sweden 🇸🇪 at 9:30h and it has free wifi onboard during an 8 hour sail/ crossing. So I can write a quick update for you… 😁 and show you some photos.

Today’s photographic selection will be of 7 PHOTOGRAPHS
Date : May and June 2025
The Photographs in this post are taken with my iPhone.
I will follow the time stamps on them. So it looks like you are experiencing my adventures on this walk to #discover everything what I saw, like the little #details seen through my eyes.

Some captures along the way so far… I will write some separate posts about the adventures we had along the way and what we saw and visited. As we drove slowly… up… to enjoy it all.

Here I am enjoying the view on Sunday from the back of the van. We parked for the night in Saint - Cirq - Lapopie, France 🇫🇷 . Right next to the river “Le Lot”. A beautiful location. Twisty and turny small roads through mountains ⛰️ it was fun.

Crossing into the Netherlands 🇳🇱
I love the Dutch roads… sooo smooth, very welcoming after the Belgium roads. They are rather bad… very bumpy, and this is me saying it lightly haha. I never loved driving on the Belgium roads at all. Luckily it wasn’t that long on (last) Wednesday.
IMG_0033.jpeg

For the night we stopped along the maas river in the Netherlands, Around Asseltse plassen in the province of Limburg. Such a beautiful and quiet spot. Just us and nature… the way I like it.
Taaddaaaa my little van 🚐:
IMG_0035.jpeg

Yesterday we drove around 600 km to catch the ferry in Travemünde Germany 🇩🇪 Here we are on the German roads. We had lots of traffic jams and road works… so it was a longggg day.
IMG_0129.jpeg

Let me show you some captures when the Ferry left the port this morning.
We are sailing with TT-LINE on the Tinkerbell.
IMG_6798.jpeg

Bye bye Germany 🇩🇪
As you can see, we had also lots of rain. Actually since last Monday it rained in every country we crossed…. Day and night… but still it went well with the van and stops for the night.
IMG_6800.jpeg

Stay tuned for new posts when I am back home… I will be driving on the other side of the water another 1400 ish km. It will be probably Tuesday… if all goes well. So maybe I will manage a post on Wednesday.
See you then 😊 take care my friends.

…and here I say that’s all for today’s post my friends.

keep up the good work

A bit dissapointed , all that white space on the van and no HIVE logo ? or QR code to your HIVE page ...

And moving through Holland again without stopping for coffee ... shame on you , well i hope you can make it 22-24 August 2025 Aachen meeting ...

That’s a great idea. Maybe I put a logo or more on it.
The van is a work in progress…. I rebuild it after the move into a camper van. 🚐

I know, I know… soon I come by one day for coffee. Will have 3 more of these trips to go and can plan them better.
It would be cool to go to Aachen for the meeting. I write it loosely in the calendar and see if we can plan to be around, it does depends on what date we drive south for the last time in our moving trips.

It would be nice to meet sometimes , but i guess you found a place to stay long term in France , otherwise you wouldn't be moving things .

Great!
Actually no, I have not found a place. Still searching… but hey… everything is an adventure. It will all come together. Even if we need to move all in a storage space first. We want to be gone before the next winter arrives.

Exactly… you have winter and “winter” 🥶
Back to 4 seasons is better for my health.

I see your plans for a slow meandering trip north were forced to change! It's exciting to know that you finally learned where you will be moving to next.

It did… I like to be flexible even if that means booking ferries very last minute haha
Sadly I haven’t found a next spot yet. Working on it though. Let’s hope something is found before we drive down with our first load. We always can move things first in storage and figure it out on the second trip down… end of summer is still a long time.
I keep you updated.
Have a beautiful day 🌹

Hello dear friend @littlebee4, good morning.

It's incredible that you're moving again. You're definitely passionate about traveling.

I can't believe you haven't even finished one trip yet and you're already planning another.

Beautiful acquisition, the truck looks gorgeous.

Have a great day.

What a nice adventure! I would love to do something like that one day... maybe when I'm retired if I survive till then...
Thanks so much for sharing your exploration experiences. Driving on those secondary roads should be gorgeous, I love doing it when possible.
Those vans are really useful, great idea!
Wish you a wonderful time while moving north, hope you find some flowers to stop by and recharge batteries, little 🐝s need also some food and rest XD

I was reading you post with smile and excitement on my face as if I am the one on the adventure drive and sleep anywhere in nature. It is so cool, I think seeing how people doing it in NZ has made it quite relatable for me.

Have fun Jackie, the van looks great.
