11.11 - What a Day [Photo Story]

I thought this would be an easy day to handle, I had it all organized (in my mind and in the new file I created to organize everything).

But suddenly before it was 12, a decision was made on the spot.

We would leave and try to make it on time to see something spectacular! Due to the celebration of Patron City's Saint of Agios Minas (Saint Menas), we could watch the F-16 demonstration team “ZEUS” display HAF's airpower to the public!!

This event was 10 minutes long, and unfortunately we arrived late, parked far away but got to see some of the phaenomenal moves!

I took a few photos of the surrounding area. This was far away from the center of the event, but it was too late and with too much traffic to get there.

This is the Giofyros River, too bad it has not been as clean and as taken care of as it could. It could really be a gem of the area. Next, some sheep just chilling.

After the short but impressive event, we went to have a quick bite, as it was already noon - and at home nothing was cooked!

This is called 'gyros' and it is fried potatoes, grilled meat, yoghurt, tomato (it can also have onions, and some choose ketchup/mustard instead of yoghurt) - all this wrapped in a crispy but also tender pita bread. It is huge and very tasty. Of course I could not eat it all, so I saved the meat and brought it home from my cats!

At the evening, even though I was tired with still a thousand things to do, I decided to take a walk at the beach and take more sky shots!

It has started getting colder as time passed by, but I did not want to leave just yet.

These are some of my favorite colors, and the reason why even though I dont like bad weather and winter, I am also happy when it arrives, because. look!!!
