Shooting people. Amongst the Water Gypsies. Bangladesh
Well hello, if you are on this journey with me, one thing that sticks out is the complete lack of physical structures being snapped by yours truly, simply because this was a trip that took you deep into the heartlands of an amazing country.
Perfect for people watching; those we encountered were ever so friendly and not at all camera shy. Our local guide encouraged us to engage with the communities, as in some cases these people will have not seen a white european in many years, if at all in the flesh. A remote part of the world off the tourist trail.
There were quite a few chaps about with head and facial hai dyed with henna, there are two schools of thought. The first being that in the older men it is a fashion statement, an attempt to look more youthful, more handsome. (seriously?). The other is that it reflects upon an islamic tradition, as it was believed that Muhammad was an avid user. (who knows)
The quayside at the fish market this guy looks kinda proud of his achievements
Whereas the street urchin stands guard over a few les than fresh specimens
The fish market was done for the day, need to be here for stupid o'clock to soak it up, but look, see I told you they were a frindly bunch.
Even when you shove a lens in their personal space you get a smile.
Tinker, tailor, soldier, spy. Which one are you
Now that is an inquisitive face
In the absence of a Macadees I guess it will be a traditional lunch today. I have been here 4 days and already my body is on withdrawal symptoms, where are you Ronald? RONALD! where are you?

Cheers @foxkoit , right place right time I guess
:))) 😂😜🫡
I would have been very alarmed at your blog title if I hadn't been following your photography. That first image almost looks like a painting, a brilliant photo, I wondered about the red beard and hair! Faces so full of character as well.
That awful henna sometimes gets on my pillows with some of our Indian guests, they're very particular about their hair. If there's the slightest sign of grey regrowth, they'll even use mascara to touch up their hairline if there's no time!
Happy shooting next time!

Cheers @lizelle , thanks for this super comment, yes it seems an issue of vanity amongst the sub continent men. I think I am happy with my silver hair (or a muddy brown when I don't was it!)
Son gente muy noble por lo que veo me resultó familiar pues son similares a los campesinos de los campos de mi pueblo en Venezuela, algunos tienen dentadura amarilla porque mascan chimo, un tabaco masticable.
Exelente tu post
Thank you, yes similar in the sub continent, they chew betel but which stains
You havce some great captures of people except for the girl who probably wondered why you were sop inquisitive. 😀 Westerners are not so friendly when a camera is pointed at them so you are very lucky that the reverse with the Bengalis.
I hope your traditional lunch was delicious.
Cheers, yes she does have a stern look about her, it is quite the opposite to westerners, who yes take objection sometimes to people invading their space. I guess we were a novelty to them.
The food was delicious indeed
