In A Different Universe
Yesterday, as I said in my previous post, I visited two exhibitions, both of which were a mixed, exhibiting paintings and sculptures, but very different in any regard. I wrote about the first one yesterday in my post and today I'd like to show you a part of the paintings and sculptures I saw at the other exhibition and share my experience with you.
As always, I went there having no clue about what I'm going to see and this is exactly how I like it. When I turn the corner, I have the first glance to the gallery as one room has huge windows to the street and saw the paintings were really particular, but when I stepped inside, instead of the gallery lady, I saw a man.

I started my tour in the gallery, started taking photos as well and was looking at the man, waiting to see if he allows it or not. So far, none of the galleries are prohibiting photographing, but once I met an artist that wanted to bite my head off for this, so better watch out, then get into trouble. This time, thank God, there were no problems.
The exhibition was called Detaching and was a solo exhibition of Simion Moldovan, whose talent you will soon see for yourself. All I'm going to say now is that I've never seen anything similar. Obviously every exhibition is different in its own way, so I could say I've never seen anything similar at every single exhibition, but here it is justified completely.
None of the artworks had a title, so I could say, your guess is good as mine, and maybe this post will be more like a riddle for you.

These two artworks should give you an idea about what you're going to be. I was standing in front of this painting, looking at the details, trying to understand what it means and I can guarantee you, this is what you have to do as well, because it's very detailed.

This could very well be any of us photographers, with a wide angle lens. It's a funny one for sure. Look at the guy's feet. He has one shoe and a slipper. I find it quite funny, but a genius idea.
If you want something out of the box, this is definitely it.
If you have a closer look, the boy had a credit/debit card on his table, something that looks like a motherboard and several data/memory cards from old days, plus he is holding a painted skull. What do you make of it?
I liked this one for several reasons. Wood, as raw material is a good choice, I like the silhouette and the wooden necklace, but what I like more is the choice of the artist to highlight the pedestal using a bright purple color and make the statue black.

If there's one word to say about these artworks, especially the paintings, that would be complex.

At this point I can reveal the surprise I kept for the end of my post. The man I saw he entrance was the artist himself. He was on the phone when I entered the gallery, but after the call ended, he approached me and started talking about art and his artworks. There was one painting that is not among the ones I posted yet, and after I heard what motivated him to create the painting and what he really meant, I came to realize that never, I mean never in this life will we be able to figure out what artists mean just by looking at the artwork. We can guess, we can have certain theories, maybe you can convince yourself that you know what it is about, then comes the artist and tells you how wrong you are :)
But it's ok. Art is what you make it to be, what means for you, what you see in it and how it makes you feel. Nothing more.

This is it for today. Let me know what you see here and which one is your favorite.

those are pretty strange... finding the meaning for any is quite complicated
i can try with this one, there's a dog, you can see the bones, and he's holding a sort of dish, i could tell it's the normal people, and above it a business man ready to eat from the dish, i'd say it's the rich of our world... there is also a snake on the right, that seems a tempting snake
i'd porbably pick last one as favorite, is the less strange 🤣
