Traffic in the City and The History of the Iconic Chalet of 9 de Julio Avenue.
Traffic in the City.
I am almost certain that one of the busiest areas, a lot of traffic and too much chaos is the 9 de Julio Avenue that limits with Corrientes Avenue. An interesting fact about this is that Avenida 9 de Julio is the widest in Latin America, it is where the famous Obelisk of Buenos Aires is. In addition, Corrientes Avenue is very popular for its shops, restaurants and its urban aesthetics.
A person who is dedicated to street photography right on these avenue would enjoy portraying this. There are no bad angles, everything is attractive and without thinking even takes you to the past in a certain way. Beautiful buildings and the way in how it is designed is extremely attractive.
Even taxis are interesting to portray, for their yellow tone.
I was on the other side of the avenue and take these photos at 250mm, although I do not like the scenarios where there are many elements, for this post I wanted to vary a bit.
On Corrientes Avenue at this point you can find vertical posters of pizzerias, cinemas and theaters that have been for decades with the typography and lighting of the 60s or 70s. That's great.
You will see many people running to cross the avenue 😅 because it is really impossible to do it, I have already tried and it is really wide.
Here you can appreciate some of the posters that I mentioned earlier. Among them are Güerrin pizzeria, cinema Lorca and Metropolitan Sura Theater. Too many rapid food branches and exquisite architecture.
Chalet of 9 de Julio Avenue.
Although not everything is high buildings... at the top of one of these buildings is a villa that was built in 1927 that has been a rage for tourists, photography and residents. It is a bit unusual to see something like that in this area and that makes it even more attractive. This villa was built by a Spanish immigrant who arrived in Argentina and became an entrepreneur, He sold all kinds of furniture to middle-high class people and was very successful.
His grandson says that he lived on the outskirts of the city and it was very difficult to travel during the day, So he decided to build a chalet in the style of the houses of Mar del Plata, about his business that consisted of 9 floors, this to be able to rest during lunch.
After his death at the end of the 60s his children decided to rent all the floors of the building and even the villa was rented to be a canteen of the building And it was also the study of a photographer.
Very rarely to open its doors for tourism but is considered one of the valuable places of the city and history.
That's all folks! Thanks for stopping by and appreciating.
