Monday Reflections
It's that most foul of Monday's, the first of those where it gets dark before it gets to be suppertime. There's plenty more of those a coming but that first one after the time change is always the worst. Under such inauspicious conditions, what could be better than to pause and reflect?
Lots of things actually, but I don't have photos of them so reflections it is. Paid a visit to Mitchell Hill Lake in Jefferson Memorial Forest here in Louisville the other day and at least during the moments when the wind was blowing, the lake was in a rather reflective mood. Like me after that third pot of coffee...
We're well past that point now and it occurs to me that gaslighting the cat is all fun and games until the cat totally loses the plot. Now I just want the meowing to stop...
Judging by the light, it's almost winter but if you were just going by the temperature you'd think it's almost summer. The more I reflect on the climate situation these days, the more I want to go around thanking boomers personally. Preferably with Maxwell's silver hammer.
Reminds me, I need to get photos of glaciers before they're all gone. Hell, really should just start a climate bucket list for all the things I need to see before climate changes makes them kick the bucket. Anybody got one of those started?
Maybe we'll get lucky and the war in Ukraine will combine with the war in Palestine and couple others to form World War III, and the nuclear winter from that will be enough to offset global warming and we'll be restored to equilibrium. That's enough out of me, if you need me I'll be packing my bugout spaceship.
A beautiful view to start the Monday with
If it's got to be Monday, at least let it be pretty :)
a good place for reflection, lots of things to photograph around it.
Indeed, it's a fun hike and as long as the wind isn't blowing there's reflection all around.

God knows I don't want World War III to begin
I love peace!
Would we even know it if it had? World War II was a collection of wars that eventually merged into one, feel like we could easily sleepwalk into that again.
Peace is best. Violence is such a grotesque waste. Sometimes you don't get to choose.
the beauty of autumn
It's always something to behold. Almost missed it this year, was on the wrong side of the country for the first couple weeks.
Funny how the vast majority of everyone absolutely despises daylight saving time, and yet the government just flat out refuses to cancel it. Just one of the many examples of how broken and retarded our leadership is. Nice photos, though.
I think there's a special relativity just for government inertia. Thanks!
For those people who are very fond of seeing natural sights, such places are paradise because by going here one gets a lot of peace and one forgets the worries of his life and enjoys the natural sights.
A little bit of paradise can go a long way.
Yeah.
Y con todo y el descuido humano se ve hermoso el paisaje..
