Recently I had a new photo experience while shooting a massage in a massage studio. How it came to that? Well, I was searching for a while somebody who would repair my dreadlocks & I was ready to pay for that but I hardly could find anyone to help me. When I finally found somebody, the girl was charging it too much for my budget. Fortunately, I asked another friend who also wears dreads & she sent me to another friend who does that. Even more fortunate I was to find that the other girl needs a photographer to make some pro photos for her massage studio & her work there so that she can make a web page & use the photos for the promotion of her work. So, we made an excellent exchange of favors/services - she repaired my dreads & I was shooting her work in return. Some of the photos can be seen below:
This was the model on the massage photoshoot. Her name was Delta. This was the 1st shot I made that day.
It was a really nice experience with this new friend of mine who gives massage to people. Her name is Bojana. I've seen what she does, not yet felt it but it looked like Delta was really enjoying. Actually, both of them really enjoyed giving & receiving the massage. So, I will definitely try it out sooner or later & if you are passing through Rijeka, Croatia sometimes & would like a massage, check out this studio!
All the upper photos I made with Nikon Z6 & Minolta Rokkor MD 50 mm lens and also Nikon D800 & Nikon AF Nikkor 35-70 mm lens. For the self-portrait below I used Nikon D800 & Nikon AF Nikkor 35-70 mm.

That was such an interesting exchange! Thank you for sharing. Maybe I should walk around with my camera more often, maybe some people will trade photographs for whatever they are doing! Jokes aside, awesome captures, and such a heartwarming exchange - one that becomes increasingly scarcer by the day.

Thank you so much for keeping it alive! Here where I am from, it is rare to ever trade anything besides money. Or, in the space that I move, this is the case. I am obviously not talking for everyone, but where I live and work, everything is about money. It is driving me crazy.
It's not much different here either. Sometimes, if I really need money, I try to avoid the exchange and get the money. So, from a job to a job, I adapt to the new conditions. But I also have clients with whom I often exchange goods and services. Sometimes we agree that they pay me partially in money and the rest in goods or services. I am opened for different scenarios...
Sorry for only replying now, life got a bit hectic. That is the best approach, to be open to both options! I have had people do the third option, just take my friendliness for granted and take without paying anything at all... I bake bread and sometimes people just want a free loaf of bread, and stupid that I am I sometimes do nothing about it. But luckily it is not a lot of money and I would rather spread some happiness.
