No Monkey Business...

This is probably one of the worst years for tourism in this part of the world. I can tell that already. Back in the day when I was involved in boat trip business weekends were fire starting April and even during workdays we had a cruise or two a day.

Now they only have like some reservations during the weekend and then nobody's at the boats hustling for clients. I've seen this at big resorts like the one where I took these photos. The trend is clear.

By no means do I believe we are in a recession but my take is that a pretty harsh one is just around the corner. The numbers on the screen when it comes to inflation may fall but reality is so different. The gas pump don't lie 😀. And gas dictates much of the pricings...

The ducks gently paddling on the surface of the water don't seem to care about that. You know what else frightens me? These military vessels that I spotted in the area lately. Not an inspiring sight...

Anyway, enjoy the pics of this post, enjoy your day and stay safe and healthy! Catch with you all soon.

"Lovely post with great insights and photos! Do you think things will get better for tourism if fuel prices go down?"

It has nothing to do with fuel prices. It's the overall purchasing power of the people that is down a lot.
