Kiss 198: The Things I Will Do
Hello Buddies...
This week's Kiss prompt is very relatable to my day a while ago. I've been wanting to do this for a while and finally found the perfect day for some me-time. Yup, this time I chose my me-time with a staycation at a hotel near my house—alone. I usually go to a crowded place as my monthly me-time ritual, but this time I chose to sort of lock myself in my room.
In the single room, I do this as a ritual before going about my day.
• Using a Face Mask

That morning, before check-out, I woke up at 5 a.m., having not slept after praying. I wanted to read the book I'd just unboxed yesterday, but before reading, I put on a face mask. I hadn't worn a mask in a long time. I'm usually lazy and sometimes forget. So, when I had some time to myself in a nice place, I brought a face mask—one I was worried would expire soon if I didn't use right away. I gave my face a little nourishment, which was exposed to the heat and dust of the streets almost daily.
• Reading a Book

After putting on my mask, I climbed into bed and pulled over the covers, then opened the book I'd unboxed yesterday. This morning, I enjoyed it slowly. My slow-down living. Reading a book in my room is usually something I do before bed, but this time, it was in the morning.
That day, I dealt with my frequent distraction—my phone. I kept it next to me, ignoring it so I could read more pages. After checking out, I might encounter other unsettling activities.
Besides, being alone in this comfortable space made me wonder, how long can I enjoy this time with myself? You know, life must go on and sometimes you might lose yourself because there are so many priorities. I thought, what if I don't do normal things like other people and stay by myself. But like that day, I felt lonely, only with the temperature starting to make my skin feel cold. But eventually, I forgot those thoughts and continued reading until finally it was time to check out.
Hasta La Vista...

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
⚠️⚠️⚠️ ALERT ⚠️⚠️⚠️
HIVE coin is currently at a critically low liquidity. It is strongly suggested to withdraw your funds while you still can.
Reading can be very relaxing.❤️
What’s the title of the book?
That was Harry Potter and the philosoper's stone
It's interesting how you turned simple things like reading and wearing a face mask into a meaningful ritual. Sometimes the quietest days are the most fulfilling. Beautiful post.
Exactly @madilyn02 I rarely do that, but it's sattisfying when I have done
