Waiting……..everyone was waiting!🙄
Liz and Silvertop were looking for a text from our youngest son and his Wife.
Hours went by, Silvertop continued working on our outside house siding…………
“ More traffic Silvertop, the kids said that they will get here about 3:30 PM! “🥰
Silvertop was around back when Phoenix jumped out of Bill and Agi’s car in the front driveway.
I couldn’t see the three of them, but I certainly could hear Phoenix Lol!😇
She was making a ruckus, trying to exit the car quickly!☺️
Our Grand dog Phoenix has stayed with Liz and Silvertop several times, for weeks at a time in the past.
Phoenix remembers us well!🥰
“ First thing we do honey, is we order a large pepperoni pizza for Phoenix……and US of course Lol!😇
Last night the “Boys” circled Phoenix’s “Crate”. This is her “Safe place”, you see, this furry little girl was a rescue dog.
It was her last chance for adoption…………..
Bill, our youngest son, worked for Months trying to calm, and rebuild a bond with this very high strung, and stressed woofer!😍
We leave her crate door open, except at night, and this gives her a place that is always home to her.
Today was Phoenix’s first full day with us.
Liz went over to her and said………………
“Phoenix, do you want to go for a hike?”
Those were the magic words my friends, we couldn’t hardly hold onto her collar to latch her leash!
Phoenix was going outside NOW!🤗
Phoenix lead the way, she remembers hiking with us very well!
I let her pull me up hills, her little half dachshund, half Rhodesian Ridgeback legs never seem to tire………..
“ OK girl, that’s as far as we go for today!”
Liz had to start back downhill, this little girl wanted to keep going Lol!😇
As I type this post, Cot is circling our coffee table, assessing this new visitor that is sound asleep on our couch!😺
“Honey, I think Phoenix will miss Bill and Agi……………maybe …..in a couple of weeks Lol 🥰
“I certainly am hungry after a long hike, is there any pizza left?”☺️
