Weather………My Actifit Report Card: May 19 2025

Weather! It seems to be on everyone’s mind right now. Areas of the country are being devastated by fierce storms-many producing tornadoes. I used to live in Tornado Alley, so I understand the fear and uncertainty. Then there’s where I live now, with rainstorm after rainstorm! Yes it rains a lot in the PNW, but the rain that they talk about is actually a mist. Lately, the word mist, just isn’t used. Instead it’s more like a peppering rain, or steady downpour or deluge might fit the bill!

Then there’s no rain; I know lately in places in Colorado where there are red flag warnings-fire danger. Parts of many of the west and southern central areas of the US have them as well. Weather-it’s certainly different lately and nothing like it used to be.

I dug through the archives looking specifically for unusual skies, clouds, or weather related phenomena. Enjoy the eye candy!

As you may have guessed, it’s been raining here-all day. It’s supposed to rain tomorrow as well.

My day began with a 2 hour day at the clinic early before anyone got there. My objective was to get as much as I could done to lessen my Wednesday load. Of the 8 pairs of glasses, I was able to process 5 of them. I switched gears to work on insurance verifications as sometimes that does NOT go smoothly. I was able to get 2 days worth of that accomplished. I fixed shipping boxes for the orders going to the lab, wrote my coworker a note and left my desk neat and organized. It’s amazing what can be accomplished when I’m left alone. Some of the jobs processed require multiple steps for records submission to a tribal clinic along with creating and printing the claims as well. I was happy with what I got done. I was out the door before my coworker arrived, which was the plan. 😎

Tomorrow sees me heading to ladies Bible study. I’m looking forward to it.
