Streams, Trees, and Family Ease
We traded traffic jams for tree jams today (the leafy kind). The German-speaking part of Belgium delivered exactly what we needed: a calm, green wonderland with streams gurgling like a Spotify forest playlist.
The walk wasn’t solo either—this was full squad mode. Nothing like a family hike to remind you who’s fastest on the trails (spoiler: not me), who spots the cool rocks first (always the kids), and who’s best at packing snacks (the unsung hero).
There’s something magical about this region. Maybe it’s how the forest swallows all noise except for water flowing and leaves rustling. Or maybe it’s just the company that makes it perfect. Either way, 10/10 would wander again.
