Flower Exhibition - Flora 2025

In my hometown, for another year, the Flora flower exhibition is being organized.

This year is the 40th edition of the event and it was held again at the end of April and the beginning of May.

For 11 days, the exhibition was available to residents and guests of the city, and I had the opportunity to go and take a closer look on one of these days.

I always start with the outdoor exhibition, which is located on a large meadow and features many art installations.

The largest was the art installation on the theme "Flowers Celebrate" by Radi Valkanova and Emilia Nikolova. Dozens of arrangements with various flowers combined in colors and shapes were placed on long, wavy tables.

There was an installation with my favorite Craspedia:

There was also an installation with pink flamingos combined with callas. The work was called "Geometry and Nature" and was the work of Alyona Kissa.

Next to it, an installation by the Burgas company Burgastsvet was presented, in which the accent was huge handmade flowers.

I will end with a rather interesting installation made of open books combined with flower bouquets. It was created by the students of the Vocational High School of Civil Engineering and Architecture "Kolyo Ficheto" and won first place in the category "Best Exhibit for Architectural Design of Interior and Exterior with Park Elements".

Through their art installation, the students developed their vision of how important books are - discovering worlds and how they combine with living nature.
