LIZNJAN - JUST ANOTHER DAY IN THE HARBOR

This is the place I wrote quite a few posts about since I started blogging on Hive. Therefore, I have to ask myself, is what I'm about to show you here today slightly repetitive or even unnecessary? Probably. But there is always enough of the new to make each visit to the harbor of Liznjan and each post about it a bit different from what came before.

The sky was just slightly overcast yesterday, when I took a walk around the harbor, allowing the sunlight to create a bright, slightly hazy springtime atmosphere.
In this opening photograph, you can see a trio of relatively big fishing boats ready to leave the bay in search of sardines in the deeper water.
I was there in the early afternoon. The fishermen will start the hunt only after the night has fallen.

This is the place from where I zoomed in on the boats congregated a few hundred meters from the docks.
Do you see the elegant watchtower, painted in white and blue like most of the stuff on the beach near the harbor? I climbed those blue stairs to get a good angle for photographing things at sea.

The tide was pretty low, so I was able to photograph a group of rocks that looked like an archipelago made of very small islands not far from the beach. When the tide is high, the rocks are underwater.

This flock of seagulls ...

... was floating in the part of the harbor dedicated to a wide variaty of small fishing boats. I mean, some birds were floating, others were flying.

Observing the birds always lifts me up somehow, so I spent quite a bit of time there, and I took plenty of seagull-themed photographs.

The scientific name of this specific seagull species, the most common one here in my area, is Larus michahellis.

If you thoroughly examine all the small details in the six shots presented in the above picture, which would be a pretty crazy thing to do - but who am I to judge you, you'll notice that some of the seagulls have a small fish in their beak.
Food was the reason for this relatively big gathering of seabirds.

In this wide shot taken from the watchtower, you can see a bit of nicely designed, white & blue beach infrastructure. The blue boxes are dressing cabins - the white bed-like things are permanent beach chairs made of stone or some similar strong and heavy material. They look a bit like sculptures, I think.

Here, you can see a small part of the beach and a considerably bigger chunk of the harbor next to it.

(Enlargeable)

These small white boats made of plastic ...

(Enlargeable)

... are waiting for the tourist season when they'll be very requested.

(Enlargeable)

The old plastic boat of similar size but different design, shown in this and the following photograph ...

(Enlargeable)

... is stranded on the mud when the tide is at its lowest and starts to float when the tide gets high.

(Enlargeable)

In this series of six photographs, a friend who was there with me is enjoying the day at the beach.

(Enlargeable)

There isn't much I can tell you about this picture - just another scenic shot taken from the small tower.

The friend who is in the 6 photographs ,I remember, I guess he is your best friend since he is usually in your photographs, I do not have many friends, in fact I do not have a best friend, the reason is that I am too honest when speaking and it seems that people like liars, they like to be told lies and I will not do this, I prefer to be a lonely boy, I will NOT change
