I have been focusing mostly on Ānāpānasati and Mettā. I don't have a big problem with sexual cravings. I'm focused on calming my mind down to achieve Samādhi.

Yes. "Friendship" is the closest translation to Metta. It comes form the word Mitra which means friend. But English translations often use loving kindness.
