Week: 2 day: 2

I think this photo is the one that best describes me. I always want to escape from a place where there is no peace and quiet. And the blue sky.

It looks like you really need some peace and quiet. 🧘‍♂️😮🧘‍♂️

@savvyplayer wonders when you would be able to have a nice vacation for at least 3 days? 😀

Eating !PIZZA while in a nice place looks so good! 😁

This seems a little too impossible. Because I have neither the money nor the time to go on such a vacation. I hope one day I will have that much money. And I can completely avoid people I don't want. 😊

It's sad to know that while Turkey looks like a great place for vacation, its residents are struggling with money. 😔

I can completely avoid people I don't want.

That sounds negative, but realistic. 😯

Please have a !PIZZA with !LUV on behalf of @savvyplayer. We hope these help (even by a little) with your expenses. ❤️🍕

@savvyplayer wonders how much you think you need to spend for each of the following. 🤔

  • Eating PIZZA from a restaurant 🍕
  • Having an affordable vacation in a nice place for at least 24 hours 🌴
  • Having a "Hamam" or Turkish bath 🛀
  • Dining with your best friend 🐕

Have some !PGM! 😁

Eating !PIZZA from a restaurant

Prices vary in general. But I'd call it $5 or $6. 😊

Having an affordable vacation in a nice place for at least 24 hours

I've never been on a vacation like this. But if I go to a hotel I think I need at least $50 for it. But there are also things like tickets if I go to another city. So it could be more.

Having a "Hamam or Turkish bath

4 years ago I asked the price of the hammam. It was about $5. 😊

Dining with your best friend

It really depends on what kind of food it is. If you want to eat doner bread, two people total $2. If you want to eat a hamburger, two people can total $8. But if you want to go to a luxury restaurant, I don't want to talk about it. 🤣

Your price estimates are the following:

  • Pizza = $5+
  • Vacation = $50+
  • Turkish bath = $5+
  • Dining with best friend = $8+

The total is more than $68. 💸 In the Philippines, that is equivalent to 7 days gross salary for a minimum wage earner! 💸😱💸

Yes, here too, this amount is the wage given to a person who works for 7 days. In other words, people work 7 days to have 1 day off. But it's not a luxury vacation.

@savvyplayer personally knows some people who really like to take weekly vacations (going to the spa, restaurant, and/or bar) every weekend (usually every Friday). 🤑 Since their salaries are about $5 per hour, they can afford the $20 weekly "vacation" expense. 💸😅💸

@savvyplayer hopes that these little pieces of !PIZZA and !LUV would help you! 😁

@savvyplayer knows only 1% of people that are able to earn at least $5 per hour from a stable job or business.

$5 an hour hmmmm super. 🙂

A professor in a private university in the Philippines (where @chrisrice lives) earns up to $15 per hour. However, a person may earn only roughly $450 per month to be exempted from tax, else about 20% (at least $90) of the gross income will be deducted as tax.

So the professor earns $ 15 per hour. This is perfect! 😍😊
So how much does the MPs or ministers make there? What are their hourly or monthly salaries?

In the Philippines, there is a presidential republic government. The salary of a department secretary or senator in the country is only roughly $2,000 a month.

!PIZZA

That is about 5 times that of a normal citizen.
8 times as much here. But there is another salary that is 29 times higher.

You don't get a lot of politicians here. Imagine having only a maximum of 24 senators for a population of more than 100,000,000 in the country, where each senator already represents more than 4,000,000 Filipinos.

In the Philippines (where @chrisrice lives), a college graduate with even a master's degree and work experience would still find it difficult to become a professor. He or she still needs to work it up by becoming an instructor or lecturer first.

Meanwhile, my friend in my story https://peakd.com/@savvyplayer/mental-health-helping-a-friend has never earned more than $3 per hour working in companies about 15 kilometers away and about 1.5 hours travel time. Even a "normal" person would be discouraged having such jobs.

Anyway, I noticed that my very long, original, meaningful post there got only $0.30 worth of total post rewards and only 3 (non-bot) commenters. 😔

He's working from home now earning just about $1.20 per hour.

He is required to provide video recording of every hour he is working (as a college and high school instructor). Imagine getting paid less than $2 to have yourself recorded for 90 minutes and sending it to your employer every single time.

I hope you do too. I wonder if there are actually people earning $5 a day (or about $35 a week) on Hive by posting great posts every time.

I used to be able to earn about 7 dollars a day. I had earned 2000 Hive in total. I have withdrawn all of them to my stock market account, but I sold them when the Hive price was 12 cents. 😫😩 Because I needed it. 😥

I have never made a post (or comment) whose total post rewards is greater than $4. The highest post rewards I got so far was just a bit above $3.

Since you shared publicly (especially on an immutable blockchain platform like Hive), many people were already able to see your profile picture (and the picture on your #introduceyourself post).

Do you mean "can't do anything about it" instead of "there is no longer able to do it"?

What do you mean with "it's no longer the problem"? What is the problem?

I am confused. 😂
I can not do anything.

0

If you posted anything on Hive, you can no longer be able to make people "unsee" them.

This is one of the reasons I don't invite people who are either very young (less than 18 years old) or with unstable personality to Hive, because whatever mistakes they publish will be recorded forever on the blockchain.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Yup. In my opinion, anyone under the age of 18 should not use such platforms. 😅

0

avatar

I think it is more about the person's maturity that determines whether he or she is supposed to use Hive (or other blockchain-based platforms). Some people below the age of 18 may speak maturely, while those who are more than 40 years old may speak otherwise.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Actually, character matters. But still some things should be forbidden to people under 18. 😊

0

avatar

I know it is necessary for certain things (such as the sale of liquor or cigarettes) to be forbidden to minors (people under 18 years old in many countries). However, the use of blockchain-based platforms such as Hive should be one's own responsibility, since the nature of blockchain itself is that it is really hard to regulate.

Having a stable online job is really a great source of income for most people.

Many people from the Philippines (where @chrisrice and many of his friends live) are trying hard to become "#AxieInfinity scholars", because it would give them an income of roughly $3 to $10 per hour just playing at home.

I'm struggling with something similar to what you're talking about here. But I can't because of school. But when I graduate, I have a lot of things to do. I don't know how to deal with it. 😥

I think that students should be treated as people without money yet, so they (especially those studying in state universities) should be provided with financial assistance or zero-interest loans.

Interest rate loans are available here. About 75 USD per month. But it's not enough for anything. 😥

0

avatar

Do you mean "interest-free loans"?

Anyway, what exactly did you mean with $75 per month? Is it the interest of a loan, or the total amount you can borrow? It is too big to be interest, yet too small to be the total loan amount.

0

A loan with an interest rate of approximately 75 USD is given every month for 2 or 4 years. And you have to start paying exactly 2 years after graduating from college.

Do you mean "interest amount" instead of "interest rate"? Rates are percentages (such as 10%) or ratios (such as 0.1 or 1:10).

The "rate" and "amount" are mutually exclusive. It's either you refer to percentage or the constant amount of something. You do not say "$75 is both the interest rate and the interest amount".

I looked at the amount of debt yesterday but nevertheless I couldn't understand much. But I think I have to pay the most 1500 Liras interest. 😊

0

If you don't understand much of how the loaners add the interest on your loans, then you might be at risk of miscalculations where your loans gets more interest than what is on your agreement with the loaner.

Anyway, 1,500 Liras (or roughly $150) in interest is so big. 💸😱💸
