Hoy me toca escribir estas líneas desde mi celular, y no porque sea mi primera opción, sino porque en Ezeiza andamos con baja tensión eléctrica y la computadora, qué es mi compañera de siempre para estas cosas, quedó fuera de juego. Como soy de la vieja escuela, me desenvuelvo mejor tipeando en un teclado que hablándole al celular. Pero se trata de avanzar y es por eso que os quiero compartir una reflexión.

[English] Today I have to write these lines from my cell phone, and not because it is my first choice, but because in Ezeiza we have low voltage and the computer, which is my constant companion for these things, is out of the game. As I am of the old school, I get along better typing on a keyboard than talking to my cell phone. But it's all about moving forward and that's why I want to share a reflection with you.
El amigo de Héctor @hosgug me habló de esta comunidad y quiero participar de la misma con esta entrega. Cuando ocurren estos eventos y quizás vos que estás en un país donde esto es normal, para los argentinos o por lo menos en mi barrio, no es tan normal que se corte la energía eléctrica. Lo normal es que haya energía eléctrica y es que así debe ser. Pienso que lo anormal es cuando estas vicisitudes tienden a ser normales y de eso debemos estar atentos. Después de despertar de una noche realmente placentera, me presto a levantarme bien temprano, alrededor de las 5 a.m y me encuentro con la noticia de que no hay electricidad. No le voy a mentir, unas primeras puteadas a la mañana para drenar un poco y luego sí, a buscar soluciones.

When these things happen—and maybe for you, living in a country where this is normal—it’s not so common for us Argentinians, or at least in my neighborhood, to have power outages. Normally, we expect to have electricity, and that’s how it should be.
In my opinion, what’s really abnormal is when these kinds of problems start becoming normal—and that’s something we need to pay attention to.
After waking up from a really pleasant night of sleep, I got up early, around 5 a.m., only to find out there was no electricity. I’m not going to lie to you—there were a few early morning curse words to let off some steam… and then, of course, time to start looking for solutions.
Primeramente por supuesto me preparé unos ricos mates amargos para que todo fluya normal y luego recordé que había adquirido meses atrás un cargador portátil. Dicho cargador estaba al 45% y eso me bastó para dar energía a mi celular y poder estar aquí escribiendo estas líneas. Debo utilizar los datos porque el wifi obviamente está desconectado, pero acá estamos. Porque si algo aprendí en la vida es que uno no puede quedarse esperando que todo sea perfecto para moverse.
! [English] First things first, of course, I made myself some good strong mate to help everything flow normally. Then I remembered that a few months ago I bought a portable charger. It was at 45%, but that was enough to power up my phone and be here writing these lines.
I have to use mobile data, because obviously the Wi-Fi is down, but here I am. Because if there’s one thing life has taught me, it’s that you can’t sit around waiting for everything to be perfect before you take action.
La vida, como la electricidad hoy, a veces tiene baja tensión. En ocasiones te sientes sin energías, las cosas no salen como esperabas, se corta algo que dabas por hecho, pero sabes qué, no eres tan importante para el universo y pocos están pensando en ti. Es duro, pero es lo que pienso que es la realidad. Es por eso, que debemos limpiarnos los mocos y seguir adelante.
! [English] Life, just like the electricity today, sometimes runs on low voltage.
There are times when you feel drained, things don’t go the way you expected, or something you took for granted just gets cut off. But you know what? You’re not that important to the universe, and hardly anyone is thinking about you.
It’s harsh, but that’s how I see reality. That’s why we need to wipe our noses and keep moving forward.
A veces hay que improvisar y buscarle la vuelta, adaptarse. Quedarse quieto no es una opción y esperar que el clima, la luz o la suerte se alineen, sinceramente creo que es perder el tiempo, que por cierto es muy valioso en estos tiempos y diría que siempre. Solo que ahora, soy más consciente de eso.
! [English] Sometimes you just have to improvise and find a way around things — adapt. Standing still is not an option, and waiting for the weather, the lights, or luck to align… honestly, I think that’s just a waste of time. And time, by the way, is really valuable nowadays — and I’d say it’s always been.
It’s just that now, I’m more aware of that.
Por eso me dije y me hablé cómo corresponde. No será la mejor conexión que tenga y no será la mejor pantalla grande que acostumbro a usar, pero tengo mi celular, tengo ganas y sobre todo, tengo esa convicción de no quedarme de brazos cruzados. Siendo sincero, no siempre fue así. En ocasiones he perdido mucho tiempo esperando que venga el colectivo y nunca llegó. A estas alturas de mi vida intento que mi tiempo valga la pena, aunque sea esperando a una persona para verla llegar.
! [English] That’s why I talked to myself, the way it should be done.
It might not be the best connection I’ve ever had, and it’s definitely not the big screen I’m used to working on, but I have my phone, I have the motivation, and most importantly, I have the determination not to sit around doing nothing.
To be honest, it wasn’t always like that.
There were times when I wasted a lot of time waiting for the bus… and it never came.
At this point in my life, I try to make sure my time is worth it — even if it’s just standing there, waiting for someone to show up.
Así que compañeros, acá estoy compartiendo mis reflexiones, porque creo que todos en algún momento sentimos esa baja tensión en nuestras vidas. Pienso que lo importante es no apagarse, aunque la luz sea mínima, hay que seguir iluminando el camino.
! [English] So, my friends, here I am sharing my thoughts, because I believe we all feel that “low voltage” in our lives at some point.
I think what really matters is not letting ourselves burn out. Even if the light is faint, we have to keep lighting the way.

Seguir adelante, resolver. Porque esperar que la solución venga de fuera es perder. Perder el tiempo y la oportunidad.

Saludos amigo @palabras1. Es verdad no podemos estancarnos ante una situación poco común, debemos solucionar y esto nos conlleva a tomar ese habito de siembre buscar la forma de resolver.
Totalmente de acuerdo, estimado autor. Debemos resolver y no perder mucho tiempo y siempre con pensamientos positivos.

Me quedo con esa frase que ella sola en sí es una reflexión porque es una invitación a la lucha permanente, a sobreponerse a las dificultades y a saltar por encima de los miedos, los obstáculos y los no se puede.
Nosotros, en Cuba, estamos aplicando esa filosofía y créame que es difícil porque los cortes de luz son por más de 12 horas diarias, pero, la vida sigue y no se puede estar esperando a que venga la luz para que salga el sol.

Imagino que su realidad con respecto a la electricidad, debe ser frustrante. Tengo preguntas: De tanto ir y venir la electricidad, ¿se queman los artefactos? Y si esto ocurre desde hace tiempo, ¿existen generadores de energía alternativos? ¿Cómo se desenvuelven los más creativos?

Si, el problema no es solo el corte de luz, lo peor es el tema de inestabilidad de voltaje que te quema los equipos. Por ejemplo, la semana anterior se me quemaron mi laptop y mi computadora personal. Muy duro, el año anterior fue el televisor. Afortunadamente, para la nevera tengo regulador de voltaje.
Pero, como usted dice hay que limpiarse los mocos y seguir.
Ahora publico desde el móvil. Debo aprender varias cosas porque por la laptop lo hacía más fácil, pero, por duro que sea hay que seguir.
Toca comenzar el proceso de ahorrar para comprar cuando pueda una laptop o una computadora.
Sobre los equipos alternativos para la corriente hay en algunas viviendas, pero son las menos.
Así vamos caminando porque no podemos detenernos.
Increíble la capacidad de resiliencia, de toda la comunidad cubana.
