For those of you that are new to my MidNight Gems series. Welcome to this nightly trip on which we will uncover & recover some amazing songs & covers.

Trying to get back to my beautiful dark comfort zone this week, because the last couple of sessions have been different, to say the least. Tonight I will love to make it darker, dark and dangerously beautiful.

This next song was a little hit back in the days I used to fall asleep with the radio on. This was such a weird and slightly creepy song, all alone in the dark hearing this unknown homeless guy sing...

Creepy and beautiful dark really does not mean that it´s metal or goth, I will try to cover many different types of dark. This one is really taking us back in time but damn it definitely is dark and beautiful.

Creepy dark gems, well Bright Eyes did do a great job with this next one. The weirdest thing is that I never heard of them until this week, while this is definitely up my dark alley.

Yes, I am biased, I love these girls and have been loving them for quite some time. But I never would have guessed they were Swedish Sisters, which also does not matter as long as the song is dark and weird.

Okay I can´t help myself, I am in a great mood and if I am in a great slightly dark mode few songs are more fitting than this one. Still I would not call these guys goth....if I did not know better.

What the fluff is midnight gems?

Somewhere lost in time, trying to escape out of the rabbit hole back into the rat race there is a vacuum..... that´s the place where midnight gems are found.

My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten.

Who the fluff am I?

Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years...Thought about it many nights and guess now it´s time to finally take it to the streets.
