In a week, my sister's friend's son will have his birthday. My sister's friend is also a friend and like a sister to me. She and my sister have known each other since they were very little, they went to the same school from preschool, and we've spent a lot of time with her and my godmother, who is her mother. She was the first in my sister's group to get married and was excited about having a baby soon, until finally, her wish came true.

This photo is from the baby shower, and I think you can see the happiness of knowing we'd soon see this little boy, who's turning 9 now. Oh my God! Has it really been that long? Well, the photo filter gives you an idea, especially since Retrica made my phone, which took pretty bad pictures, look decent—or so I thought. After him, she had two more children, plus a miscarriage, all boys. They wanted a girl, but the third was enough, especially since it wasn't planned. It's a good thing she started having children young, because after the last one, they told her she needed surgery to prevent any more pregnancies, as her body wouldn't be able to handle it—something to do with her heart, I think.

So, her dream of having a large family came true. Being a daughter who grew up alone, since she never met her half-siblings until adulthood, she always had that dream. The baby shower was beautiful, simple, and everything was handmade by the mother, who, I must say, did a fantastic job with the decorations. She even still has the 3D name she made for the baby out of cardboard and glue. Oh, and I should mention that we didn't coordinate the color of the outfits; it was pure chance! 😂
