Hello my dear friends of #topfamily and their #thursdaytbt, a warm greeting to @lanzjoseg who has made me a regular follower of your initiative.

It's incredible how each photo takes on a life of its own in our memory and its story leads us by the hand like a time machine.

The images that respond to this initiative must be of people, which is why I proudly and nostalgically stand in front of that sign.

At that moment, it meant much more than a sign; it was the name of a beautiful and enthusiastic family.

Located at the entrance to the tent that served as the venue, most of whose poetry readings were led by the writers who would make up the literary group of that name at the Casino Campestre.

In Camagüey, Cuba, "La Rueda Dentada," which is the title of a book by national poet Nicolás Guillén, gives its name to the literary group sponsored by the Foundation bearing the poet's name.

Photos were taken at that year's Book Fair, and I remember how the friendship that united all of its members connected us. Although we came from a variety of professions, poetry was a common interest.

When the group emerged, its introductory slogan on the group's professional Facebook page read: A group of writer friends, full of dreams, eager to take on the world.

And it was true; there wasn't a single literary event or space in the country that didn't hear mention of the rise of La Rueda Dentada in a short time.

Shortly after, in the spirit of giving it a more professional marketing touch, that slogan was changed.

Today, some of its original members are no longer with us for personal reasons, and others have joined the group, but it's not the same anymore.

Some of us who have always been with it feel like we're missing something in the gears that the cogs of that wheel made so devastating and unstoppable.

What's missing? Love and friendship? The time available in more difficult times? The interest in each other? A sense of belonging? A lack of tolerance for one another?

I really don't know...
Maybe we never should have changed the slogan

Hola mis queridos amigos de #topfamily y su # juevestbt, afectuoso saludo para @lanzjoseg que me ha hecho ser habitual a su iniciativa.

Es increíble, cómo cada foto toma vida propia en nuestra memoria y su historia nos lleva de la mano cuál si fuera la máquina del tiempo.

Las imágenes que responden a esta iniciativa deben ser de personas, por eso me muestro con orgullo en ella y a la vez con nostalgia delante de ese cartel.

En ese momento significaba mucho más que un cartel, era el nombre de una hermosa y entusiasta familia.

Ubicado a la entrada de la carpa, que funcionó como sede y cuyas lecturas de poesía en su mayoría estuvieron a cargo de los escritores que conformarían el grupo literario de ese nombre, en el Casino Campestre.

Fotos que fueron tomadas en la Feria del Libro de ese año y recuerdo que nos traía conectados a todos sus miembros por la amistad que nos unia, y aunque prosediamos de dicimiles profesiones la poesía era un interés común.

Cuando el grupo surgió, su slogan de presentación en la página profesional del grupo en facebook decía : Un grupo de amigos escritores, llenos de sueños, con ganas de comerse el mundo.

Y era cierto, no había evento o espacio literario en el país que no se escuchara hacer mención del auge de La Rueda Dentada,en breve tiempo.

Poco después con el ánimo de darle un toque de mayor marketing profesional ese slogan fue cambiado.

Hoy, algunos de sus miembros del comienzo, ya no están por razones personales y otros han llegado nuevos al grupo, pero ya no es lo mismo.

Algunos que estamos de siempre, sentimos que nos falta algo en ese engranaje que hacían demoledores e indetenibles los dientes de esa rueda.

¿Qué está faltando ?¿El amor y la amistad?¿ El tiempo disponible en tiempos más difíciles?¿ El interés de cada uno?¿ Sentido de pertenencia?¿ Falta de tolerancia de unos por los otros?

Realmente no lo sé...
Quizás no debimos nunca cambiar el slogan
