Phone Photography Contest 86 | Sea Rocks

Although I absolutely hate feeling stones or large rocks under my feet when I go into the sea at the beach, I have to admit that visually, one of the things I love most about the coast is seeing so many rocks gathered together, whether by an artificial breakwater or simply scattered randomly along the shore... Hello! This is my entry for week 86 of the Hive Phone Photography Contest, and this time I want to share some shots of beautiful sea rocks that I found last August, on that wonderful trip to Naiguatá that made my vacation so enjoyable...

Aunque no me gusta para nada sentir piedras o grandes rocas en mis pies cuando me adentro al mar en las playas, debo aceptar que visualmente uno de los detalles que más amo en las costas es ver tanta rocas reunidas, ya sea por un rompeolas artificial o que alguna de ellas esté aleatoriamente en alguna zona de la misma... ¡Hola! Esta es mi entrada a la semana 86 del Concurso de Fotografía con Teléfono de Hive, y en esta ocasión quiero compartir unas tomas de hermosas rocas del mar que encontré el pasado mes de Agosto, en ese hermoso viaje a Naiguatá que me hizo disfrutar al máximo mis vacaciones...

This occasion and this beach were particularly different. I loved those rocks rising above the waves, even though they weren't very far from the shore, and they were also a sign that there were many smaller stones scattered along the coast. It was easy to love them because I didn't go into the water 😅 I just walked by and appreciated their beauty, as well as taking a couple of photos. In fact, I don't particularly recommend this beach in the two pictures above, Los Angeles A, knowing that if you walk a little further you can find some areas with fewer rocks. Even so, I found inspiration in these rocky areas eroded by the waves...

Esta ocasión y esta playa fueron particularmente diferentes, me encantaron esas rocas que se levantaban por encima de las olas, aunque no eran muy lejanas de la orilla y también que eran indicios de que había muchas pequeñas piedras que se extendían por toda la costa. Fue fácil amarlas, porque no me adentré en estas aguas 😅 solo pasé por acá a caminar y apreciar su belleza, además de tomar un par de fotografías, de hecho, particularmente no recomiendo esta playa de las dos imágenes de arriba, Los Ángeles A, sabiendo que caminando un poco te puedes encontrar con algunos espacios más limpios de rocas. Aún así, encontré inspiración en estos espacios rocosos erosionados por el oleaje...

I'd been practicing for a few years, but last August I perfected my technique of taking my phone into the sea 😅 My wife always thought it was risky, but many of my best photos are taken from there. There's something magical about the waves crashing against the rocks and the sound of the sea spray splashing against them; it connects me with nature and makes me feel its immense power. A couple of months have passed since then, but when I look at these photos and write these lines, I can almost hear the roar I mentioned. It's like music to my soul and takes me right back to those moments ❤️

Tenía unos años practicando, pero el pasado Agosto ya perfeccioné mi técnica de meterme al mar con mi teléfono 😅 a mi esposa siempre le pareció arriesgado, pero muchas de las mejores fotografías se capturan desde ahí. Hay algo mágico en el golpe de las olas en las rocas y el sonido de la espuma del mar salpicando sobre ellas, me hace conectar con la naturaleza y sentir su enorme fuerza. Han pasado ya un par de meses desde entonces, pero veo estas fotografías y escribo estas líneas y puedo escuchar el estruendo que les digo, es como música para el alma y me traslada nuevamente a esos momentos ❤️

I'm no country bumpkin; I've always said I'm a city mouse (I don't know if you're familiar with that story), but this city mouse definitely needs a vacation eventually. And of all the places to connect with nature, including my recent passion for hiking, the undisputed king is the sea, the beaches. The breeze, the water, the rocks, everything is beautiful and perfect, and at the same time, it inspires great respect in me. This is one of the reasons I didn't venture into the water for these photos, as the surf was extremely strong. So, I just wanted to pay this small tribute to the rocks, the stars of the day and the only ones that venture into those powerful, beautiful waters, ready to be photographed 🙏 Thank you all for getting this far, viewing, reading, and supporting these images. No soy un ratón de campo, siempre he dicho que soy un ratón de ciudad (no sé si conocen esa historia), pero vaya que este ratón de ciudad necesita vacaciones eventualmente, y entre todos los lugares para conectar la naturaleza, incluyendo mi reciente pasión por el senderismo, el rey indiscutible es el mar, las playas. La brisa, el agua, las rocas, todo es hermoso y perfecto, y a la vez me inspira gran respeto, uno de los motivos por los cuales no me adentré en las aguas de estas fotografías, ya que era un oleaje extremadamente fuerte, así que solo quise hacer este pequeño homenaje a las rocas, las protagonistas del día y las únicas que se adentran en esas aguas poderosas, hermosas y listas para ser fotografiadas 🙏 Gracias a todos por llegar hasta aquí, ver, leer y apoyar estas imágenes, siempre es apasionante participar en este espacio dedicado al trabajo fotográfico con teléfonos, y si te gusta esta idea, te invito a unirte a esta iniciativa... ¡Un gran abrazo para ti!.
