I did a Thing! Finally cramming in some time to build something!

I have finally managed to do some DIY in the house. After around 3 weeks and more of not really getting anything done, with the rain and all the arrangements that go alongside the loss of a loved one in the family, things are slowly winding down to normal again.

It is good for the soul to work with your hands and to SEE something that you have done with your efforts.

Well, I take the same satisfaction in seeing the growth of my Hive account, but physical work has some nuances to it that cannot be replicated by physical work. In a funny movie I once watched it said "To know something is Good. But to DO something is God."

And thus I took up my endeavor to create a little lean-to at the back of the garage to shelter my wood from the rain. I needed to do this because I have a lot of wood and I NOT have a lot of space in the garage. And with wet Cape Town winter weather, there was no way this wood was not getting wet and terrible.

So this is a quick post. Please enjoy the camera reel.

I had already done the frame and one half of a roof cover. So I took an old headboard for a bed, which was pretty messed up already. It can get wet, its alright. I then installed planks on the beams and added another plan across to make it longer and stronger.

Then I installed it to the frame!

Something got done and now I can look at the next task!

I will need to see how wet the base of this structure gets to determine how much more material or plastic I will need to add to it to get the job done!
