DIY/the making of wall frame

avatar

My interest in craft has grown a lot recently and you will be seeing more of it from my DIY blog. Last week, I made a table frame and this week, I did something similar.

Last week was a flower and I made a fruit today. Pineapple is one of my favorites fruit and I thought it would be nice to have a table frame of it.

Material used are:

Bottle cover
Paper gum
Brown gum
Scissors and a black pen
Carton and cardboard
Watercolor

Procedure

Before I started making the frame, I cleaned the cover well because there was some dirt in it.

Let's get to the process of how to make the pineapple frame.

Step 1

I cut the carton into the shape of the cardboard and then made use of paper gum to glue it together.

After that, I noticed that the carton was a little bit bigger than the cardboard so I cut out the excess and edges to be a little bit round.

I set that aside and went to the next stage.

Step 2

I cut a piece of the carton and then removed the first layer of the carton because it would be too thick if I made use of it like that and then drew a pineapple head on it with the black pen.

After that, I made use of the watercolor to paint the drawing and set it aside to dry before cutting the shape out.

Step 3

I rubbed the brown gum on every bottle cover and then started placing it on the yellow cardboard frame I made first until I got the perfect shape of a pineapple.

The drawing was already dry so I cut the shape out and then made use of paper to glue it on top of the bottle cover.

Step 4

I made use of scissors to cut some parts from the remaining bottle cover and then gum it on both sides of the pineapple to make it look like the real pineapple.

Step 5

I made use of watercolor to do a small orange circle inside the bottle cover to give it the perfect look of a pineapple.

I then cut out a small band and put the brown gum at each edge then place it at the back of the frame that will be used to hang it on the wall.

Now my pineapple wall frame is ready.
