Restoring An Abandoned Power Extension Adapter to a Working One _DIY ⚙️

Today I decided to do some cleaning in my home today. While I was cleaning, I found an abandoned Power Extension Adapter in our store. Since we have few Power Extension Adapter, I decided that I'll restore this Abandoned Power Extension and add it to the few l we have at home.

The Materials I used

An Old Tooth Brush 🪥	An Old Cloth or Rag
Screw Driver 🪛	........................................

Steps 🪜 or Procedures Taken

(1.) I used as screw driver to loose the bolts 🔩 in the Power Extension so that I can have a view of the Inside. When I opened it, I discovered that some of the components inside were scattered especially the ones made of Copper.

(2.) Next, I had to remove the components and clean them with A Rag one after another. I first started with the Plastic Switch Buttons

(3.) The next component I cleaned was the copper Components which was covered with dust and they make contact with the copper rod inside the Power Extension Adapter.

(4.) The Next Step is to Clean the inside and some of the Iron Components of the Power Extension with a Brush and they were very dusty making it difficult to make contact with the Copper rod that distributes power to the Switch in all the Sockets.

(5.) Now that I'm done cleaning them, let's clean the Body of this Item. To do that, I use a brush 🪥 and a Towel for the cleaning.

(6.) Now we're done cleaning the Body and every Components inside this Power Extension Adapter, let's put them together and Fasten them with their Bolt 🔩 .

(Final Step) Boom 💥 it worked perfectly after connecting it to AC Power. Now we now have 2+1 Powe Extension Adapter in our Home. No more waiting for turns when it comes to charging our Devices or Using our Home Appliances.

Final Thoughts / Conclusion

This Action made me to understand how the Power Extension Adapter works and truly Speaking the is my First time repairing or Restoring a Power Extension Adapter . So I restored it back and I learned from my little DIY Action. I really happy that it worked perfectly ☺️.
