I Made Egyptian-Themed Jewelry!
Well, one of my game groups got an early start on Secret Santa assignments for Christmas due to some members heading off to college soon. My victim gift recipient is enamored with all things Ancient Egypt. Nothing says "Christmas" like cultural appropriation from a dead society using made-in-China findings, right?
I ordered a variety of mystical pendants and tried several variations of elements before settling on this simple necklace and earrings set. An ankh necklace was always my intent, but I just wasn't happy with how the other pendants looked, so I downsized it to just a few beads for embellishment. Then I used the smaller round pendants engraved with the Eye of Horus as earrings with a similar beading embellishment.
I formed eyes in short lengths of silvery wire, strung a small spacer bead, a green glass bead, and another spacer before locking everything in place with another eye. Small jump rings connect everything together, and a fine chain with a clasp completes the necklace while some simple "fish hook" earring wires complete the earring pair.
As far as I know, the recipient does not read my blog. If she does, though... surprise? May your sins weigh less than a feather, or something.

Very well done. !BBH

They look good and I hope she loves them.
Probably better that you give her something that she's interested in over something Christmas themed that only works once a year and probably looks worse XD
There were no other eye pendants? (I don't remember what either of the eyes is called, but there is a left and right)
I'm sure she'll love them :D
The eye of horus looks cooler than the eye of ra. The other pendants looked too cheesy.
You can't go wrong with an eye of Horus!
Someone is going to be very pleased with these.
Wao very great and beautiful.
Very nice! And way to go on getting a head start on Christmas preparations!
