My entry for Splinterlands Art Contest Week 365 | Ajax Lightfoot made with foami clay. [ENG] [ESP]

Hello!! DIYHub family, art lovers and crafters. Today I'm going to teach you how to make the agile warrior Ajax from the @splinterlands saga using moldable foam (foam clay). I hope you like the creation, the entire community in general, and I'm super happy to present my experience with this flexible material. Join me! 🤗

Next I will show you step by step the realization of my work. To start with, I will mention all the materials used:

What is the play-to-earn game Splinterlands?

It is a blockchain-based collectible card game (Play-to-Earn/P2E) where players can earn cryptocurrency and token rewards while playing.

If you enjoy card games and cryptocurrencies, "Splinterlands" is a great way to earn while having fun. Personally, I enjoy it even more by creating custom artwork of the card characters.

¿Qué es el juego play2earn Splinterlands?

Es un juego de cartas coleccionables blockchain del tipo Play-to-Earn (P2E), donde los jugadores pueden ganar recompensas en criptomonedas y tokens mientras juegan.

Si te gustan los juegos de cartas y las criptomonedas, "Splinterlands" es una buena opción para ganar mientras te diviertes. Por mi parte lo disfruto más creando arte personalizado de los personajes de cartas.

Ajax Lightfoot has incredible stories of adventures on the other side of the world, but few Splinterlanders believe them. Since his migration to Lyveria with the first of the Khmer ships, he has regaled countless passers by with these stories in an effort not to brag about his conquests, but to make friends. The land of his origin was called Adelfo, otherwise known as the kingdom of brothers. Families of Adelfo grew incredibly large in numbers, often becoming so vast they required their own villages. Most fathers in this land had multiple dozens of children, and the average mother gave birth to some twenty brothers and sisters.

These families always remained together through everything, until they were brutally ripped asunder by the nameless evil. Ajax always trails off or makes a joke when it comes time for this evil to be mentioned in his tales, choosing instead to focus on the adventures of the past, before the great invasion. Sadly, he was the only Lightfoot clansman to escape the calamity and find his way to the Splinterlands, where he has not yet found the same level of camaraderie as he misses from home. Ajax hopes that by joining up with the Moxian Gladiators, he will find a new family, and together they will make adventures anew.

Ajax carries a long spear with a three-edged blade made of gold. He says that the three blades of his spear each represent the most beloved of his family: The longest blade is for his father, the one who taught him to never be afraid. The sharpest is for his mother, who taught him that everything in life is for learning. The third blade (which is never sharpened) is tarnished and worn. It represents the endurance of his brothers and the idea that a blade need not be edged to cut.

Ajax Lightfoot tiene historias increíbles de aventuras al otro lado del mundo, pero pocos Splinterlanders las creen. Desde su migración a Lyveria con los primeros barcos jemeres, ha deleitado a innumerables transeúntes con estas historias en un esfuerzo por no alardear de sus conquistas, sino por hacer amigos. La tierra de su origen se llamaba Adelfo, también conocida como el reino de los hermanos. Las familias de Adelfo crecían increíblemente en número, a menudo volviéndose tan vastas que requerían sus propios pueblos. La mayoría de los padres en esta tierra tenían múltiples docenas de hijos, y la madre promedio daba a luz a unos veinte hermanos y hermanas.

Estas familias siempre permanecían unidas ante todo, hasta que fueron brutalmente destrozadas por el mal innombrable. Ajax siempre se interrumpe o hace una broma cuando llega el momento de mencionar a este mal en sus relatos, eligiendo en cambio centrarse en las aventuras del pasado, antes de la gran invasión. Lamentablemente, él fue el único miembro del clan Lightfoot que escapó de la calamidad y logró llegar a las Splinterlands, donde aún no ha encontrado el mismo nivel de camaradería que extraña de su hogar. Ajax espera que, al unirse a los Gladiadores Moxianos, encontrará una nueva familia y juntos vivirán nuevas aventuras.

Ajax lleva una larga lanza con una hoja de tres filos hecha de oro. Dice que cada una de las tres hojas de su lanza representa a los más queridos de su familia: La hoja más larga es para su padre, quien le enseñó a nunca tener miedo. La más afilada es para su madre, quien le enseñó que todo en la vida es para aprender. La tercera hoja (que nunca está afilada) está deslustrada y gastada. Representa la resistencia de sus hermanos y la idea de que una hoja no necesita tener filo para cortar.

In the initial phase, I start by taking a portion of clay in beige color for the development of the body. Then, with his hands he molded them into a ball shape, giving them a curious finish.

En la fase inicial, comienzo tomando una porción de arcilla en color beige para el desarrollo del cuerpo. Luego, con las manos moldeó en forma de bola, dándoles una terminación curiosa.

Next, I develop the moving parts in the animated character: his head, his ears, his legs, the dress, the hair, the warrior's staff, and his arms, always giving my best.

Seguidamente, desarrollo las partes del movimiento en el animado, su cabeza, sus orejas, sus patas, el vestido, el cabello, el bastón de guerrero y sus brazos, siempre dando lo mejor de mi.

Finally, we make the final touches on his face, hood, and eyes, using the colors yellow, black, and white for the shine. This part is a bit more complex, as the parts are smaller to mold.

Creating this character in foam clay was so much fun, everyone! The vibrant colors made it truly spectacular, and the Kawaii version gives her such a cute and charming appearance.

Ya por último, realizamos los retoques finales en su cara, capucha y ojos, utilizando los colores amarillo, negro y blanco para el brillo. Este diseño es un poco más complejo, pues son más pequeñas las partes a la hora de moldear.

Crear este personaje en foami clay fue muy divertido familia, porque su complicidad en cuanto a colores vivos era espectacular, presenta una bonita apariencia en cuanto a la versión Kawaii.

It should be noted that this design was sought in the Splinterlands community; but the realization are made by me, with dedication to look more beautiful in the home or bedroom, I will return with new ideas to share with you, see you soon and excellent week.
