White Chickadee Decorative Figure Quilling and Cardboard Techniques [Eng-Esp]

Today I am with you again to show you my art, I love every week to go through this wonderful world of magic, color, and lots of Splinterlands characters to look for new elements or characters to build different crafts such as jewelry, accessories, 3D figures and other things that motivate me, inspire me and activate my creativity and thus be able to create for you.

Today I bring you a new work of art. I wanted to create a decorative 2D figure inspired by the card, White Chickadee, using the quilling technique.

Hola a toda mi gente de Hive... 🐱

Hoy estoy con ustedes nuevamente para mostrarles mi arte, me encanta semana a semana pasar por ese maravilloso mundo de magia, color, y muchísimos personajes de Splinterlands para buscar nuevos elementos o personajes para construir diversas manualidades bien sean bisutería, accesorios, figuras en 3D entre otras cosas que me motiven, inspiren y activen mi creatividad y de esa manera poder crear para ustedes.

Para hoy les traigo un nuevo trabajo de arte, quise realizar una figura decorativa en 2D inspirado en la carta, White Chickadee en la técnica de quilling.

• I started by taking a white sheet of paper and sketching the figure I was going to make with a pencil.

• I used white cardstock to cut out the first part of the figure, then cut out the second part from light gray cardstock, and glued them together with extra-strong white glue.

• To make the legs, I took orange quilling tape, cut out and glued the necessary pieces, and then assembled them as you can see in the image. Once they were ready, I glued them to the bottom of the bird's body.

• Comencé tomando una hoja blanca y realizando el boceto con un lápiz de la figura que llevaré a cabo.

• Use cartulina de color blanco para recortar la primera parte de la figura, luego recorte en cartulina gris claro la segunda parte, uno ambas con pega blanca extra fuerte.

• Para realizar las patas tomé cinta para quilling de color naranja, recorte y pegué las piezas necesarias para luego ensamblarlas tan y como pueden ver en la imagen, una vez listas las pegué de la parte de abajo del cuerpo del ave.

• I wanted to make the wings in relief with quilling appliqués. So I took some white tape and rolled it up with the needle until I reached the end, took it off the needle, and loosened it a little to form an open circle.

• I made three open circles of different sizes. Then I shaped them with my fingers to stick them together and form the wings.

• Next, I made two more small pieces with two open circles for the ears.

• Quise realizar las alas en relieve con apliqué de quilling. Por ello tome cinta de color blanco y con la aguja enrollé hasta llegar al final de la misma, saqué de la aguja solté un poco para formar un círculo abierto.

• Realicé 3 círculos abiertos de diferentes tamaños. Luego procedi a moldear con los dedos para pegar y formar las alas.

• Luego hice dos pequeñas piezas más con dos circulos abiertos, para las orejas.

• For the beak, take a piece of brown cardstock and cut it into a triangle shape, then glue it onto the bird's face.

• Cut a small branch out of dark gray cardstock and place it on the bird's beak.

• Make the eyes with two small pieces of black and white modeling clay, forming circles. Glue them onto the figure.

• To finish, I cut out the details of the face with orange quilling paper and made the eyebrows with a graphite pencil.

• And so we have finished this decorative figure, which I made inspired by the character from the White Chickadee card, using the techniques of cardboard craft and quilling.

• Para el pico tome un trozo de cartulina marrón y recorte en forma triangular, lo pegué en la cara del ave.

• Con cartulina color gris oscuro recorte una pequeña rama.la cual coloqué en el pico de ave.

• Los ojos los realicé con dos trocitos de plastilina negro y blanca, haciendo unos círculos. Pegué de la figura.

• Para finalizar recorte el detalle de la cara con Quilling color naranja e hice las cejas con un lápiz de grafito.

• De esta manera tenemos listo esta figura decorativa que realicé inspirada en el personaje de la carta White Chickadee en la técnica de cartonaje y quilling.
