Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post!

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit in the game of Warhammer 40,000

The last of the Indexes! A new challenge!

Right, I am finally ahead and by my best estimations as I explained in this Post, I should be able to keep ahead of the release curve and get the remainder of the Indexes reviewed before those Codex releases.

So I embark on a new challenge. I have calculated that there are roughly 148 reviews to do. I have chosen my frequency and have given myself 96 days to review them all. That means that I am aiming at Day 96 being the 21st of July 2025!

Today is Day 26/96.
I have reviewed 38/148.

Time elapsed: 27.08%
Review Completion: 25.67%
More than a percentage behind. Need to hit some doubles to get back in line!

Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear

With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.

I am collecting funds in the following ways:

• Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
• Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
• Selling some of the collection to friends.

At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $226 to pay off!

Chaos Daemons, Horticulous Slimux

10th Edition Index

A very interesting looking model with the ability to lead Beasts of Nurgle which are a small unit of very large models. This model will then give them buffs and move into the game with those Beasts as Bodyguard.

This model is 120pts to field.

Let's check their stats and abilities!

Save 3+/4++(armor/invul/Feel No Pain)

Weapons

Standard weapons: Acidic Maw, Lopping Shears

Ranged Weapons

None

Melee Weapons

Acidic Maw

2 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S7, AP-4 and 3 Damage each.
Devastating Wounds (Rolls of a 6 to wound cause Mortal Wounds)
Extra Attacks (This weapon can attack in addition to other melee weapons used for this model.

Lopping Shears

4 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S6, AP-2 and 3 Damage each.
Lethal Hits (Rolls of 6 to Hits, automatically Wound the target)

Abilities

Deep Strike - If this unit arrives on the Battlefield from Reserves, it can be set up anywhere on the battlefield more than 9" from enemy models.

Beast Handler

While this model is leading a unit, the unit can re-roll Charge rolls and once per game they can do a 0CP Heroic Intervention.

Seed the Garden of Nurgle

At the end of the turn, if this model is within Area Terrain then the Area terrain feature is considered within your Army's Shadow of Chaos.

Thoughts

Horticulous does a lot of damage on his own. His main focus is getting the Beast of Nurgle into combat which is where they really shine.

Altogether a worthy target... But I have never seen anyone playing with this model... they should though...

That makes 26 Chaos Daemon Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 52% Completed! The total of the remaining Index reviews is now 107.
