Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa and this is a Warhammer 40k - Datasheet Review post!

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit in the game of Warhammer 40,000

The last of the Indexes! A new challenge!

Right, I am finally ahead and by my best estimations as I explained in this Post, I should be able to keep ahead of the release curve and get the remainder of the Indexes reviewed before those Codex releases.

So I embark on a new challenge. I have calculated that there are roughly 148 reviews to do. I have chosen my frequency and have given myself 96 days to review them all. That means that I am aiming at Day 96 being the 21st of July 2025!

Hobby Fund - Working myself into the clear

With my hobby posts, I generate a hobby fund. 50% of the income goes into the fund. At the moment I put all my HBD earned from Warhammer posts into my alt account @zakl.hobbyfund.

I am collecting funds in the following ways:

• Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
• Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
• Selling some of the collection to friends.

At the current count I am paying off some hobby debts. I still have $226 to pay off!

Chaos Daemons, Hellflayers

10th Edition Index

I joke about them being gardening services... but they do mow the pleasure gardens around Slaanesh's Pleasure Palace in the warp.

Daemonettes took them into realspace and experimented with them, making them strong war machines in realspace.

It is 80pts for 1 or 160pts for a unit of 2 models.

Let's check their stats and abilities!

Weapons

Standard weapons: Lashes of Torment, Seeker Tongues, Slashing Claws

Ranged Weapons

Lashes of Torment

12" Range, 3 Shots, Hitting on 3+, S4, AP-1 and 2 Damage each.
Pistol (This ranged weapon can be used while engaged in melee, but they must target the unit they are with.)
Anti-infantry 3+ (Infanty gets wounded on a 3+ regardless of toughness)
Assault (This weapon may be fired even though the unit Advanced)

Melee Weapons

Slashing Claws

8 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S4, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Devastating Wounds (Rolls of a 6 to wound cause Mortal Wounds)

Seeker Tongues

4 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S4, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Lethal Hits (Rolls of 6 to Hits, automatically Wound the target)
Extra Attacks (This weapon can attack in addition to other melee weapons used for this model.

Lashes of Torment

3 Attack, Hitting on 3+, S4, AP-1 and 2 Damage each.
Anti-infantry 3+ (Infanty gets wounded on a 3+ regardless of toughness)
Extra Attacks (This weapon can attack in addition to other melee weapons used for this model.

Abilities

Deep Strike - If this unit arrives on the Battlefield from Reserves, it can be set up anywhere on the battlefield more than 9" from enemy models.

Cutting Down the Foe

+1 Strength and Damage to melee weapons on the turn they charged.

Thoughts

These models look insane! They do a LOT of damage and they are very fast. Saving grace for me is that they will be difficult to hide and are not that tough.

That makes 25 Chaos Daemon Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 50% Completed! The total of the remaining Index reviews is now 108.
