“A Simple Yet Special Family Dinner Night with My Youngest Brother in Kapetera”
Hello my dear fellow hivers! Hello to the wonderful community of @hiveph! This is me again, “LJ” to share another life story to you all.
Yesterday was a special day for our family because my youngest brother came home from for a visit. He’s been living in the city for quite some time now since his job keeps him there. We were all so happy to see him again because it is not often that he gets to come home. His work schedule is always so hectic, so every visit feels extra precious to us. What made it even more exciting was that he brought along his friend who wanted to see our place and meet the family.
The moment they arrived, our house was filled with laughter and stories. My mother could not hide her joy seeing the two of them, and my brother immediately went around the house, noticing the little changes we made since his last visit. It really warmed my heart to see how much he missed home despite being used to city life.
After resting for a bit, he invited us to have dinner at “Kapetera”. It’s one of our favorite nearby cafès and a place that holds a lot of memories for us. The owner happens to be his close friend, so we always feel at home whenever we dine there. What’s nice is that it is just a few steps from our house, making it such a convenient and cozy spot for our family dinners.
When we arrived, we were greeted with the familiar aroma of freshly brewed coffee and grilled dishes. We decided to order our favorite silog meals. I chose the tapsilog because it is always been my comfort food, while my drink for the night was a refreshing strawberry matcha. The combination of the savory tapa and the sweet, creamy drink was surprisingly perfect! My brother and his friend ordered the same. We also added fries for our order. And we all agreed that everything tasted great as always.
While eating, the conversation flowed naturally. It was filled with laughter, stories from work, and updates from our everyday lives. It felt so nice to catch up on things after not seeing each other for a while. While chitchatting, we did not notice the time because we were enjoying each other’s company a lot.
When we got home, we stayed up a little bit longer, chatting and reminiscing about our childhood days. It reminded me how important family time is, no matter how busy life gets. Having my brother home, even for a short while made the day truly memorable. Hopefully, he visits again soon because moments like these are the ones that warm the heart.
And that’s it for today’s blog! I hope you guys like it and thank you for reading and dropping by. See you on my next one. Have a nice day ahead to all of us.
