Growth and Learning: My 2025 Art Showcase

2025 is almost over and I have accomplished one of the goals or challenge that I've set this year.

The challenge was simple, it is for me to draw anything that I like at least once a month so there's no pressure and I can just enjoy the drawing process. Actually, this challenge started because last year when I came back after a year of hiatus, I noticed that my drawing skills became rusty. So I started drawing again even though it was not consistent, I've completed 13 drawings that year.

This is also to keep my drawing skills sharp and improve some skills that I lack.
I also get to experiment different style and sometimes challenge myself to use layers as little as possible. And also, without other artists and friends that I follow that serves as my inspiration, I would have given up this challenge.

Drawing is also one of my stress reliever this year. I just feel calm when I draw, sometimes I just get into the zone and then I suddenly realize several hours had passed already.

This year, all of the artworks that I've made are Fanarts. Either from an Anime that I've watched or A Vtuber that I followed on X and Youtube. I'll showcase it all here and without further ado, let's jump right into it!

My 2025 Artworks

The January Fanart is Ririsya, a Japanese Vtuber that I followed. She has a nonchalant personality and has a sleepy voice. She's also a very talented Utaite and composer. I rarely watch her anymore because I don't have time and she mostly stream in the morning.

February Fanart is Maka Albarn from Souleater Anime. It's one of my fave anime in early 2010's. I love the character designs and their OST's.

On this art, I tried to explore and do some experiment on composition.

March Fanart is Yuki Itose from A Sign of Affection Anime. She's a Deaf college student who tries to live normally with others. She's very sweet, very cute, and very kind. The anime is very heartwarming and makes your heart flutter.

This is one of the art pieces that I liked because of how I rendered this using the watercolor brush. This is also the first Fanart that I posted here on HIVE.

April Fanart is Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu Kaisen Anime. He is the most popular character in this anime and he is very cool and overpowered character.

I also like this art piece because I painted this in one layer instead of the normal coloring process that I always do.

May Fanart is Gawr Gura, another Vtuber who graduated early this year and the most subscribe Vtuber. She also has a beautiful singing voice.

Also on this art, I experimented on the composition.

March Fanart is Amate Yuzuhira a.k.a Machu from Gundam Gquuuuuux Anime. She's a highschool student who is bored on her monotonous life and wanted to experience the life outside their colony.

I also experimented on the composition and background on this one.

July Fanart is Lady Loulan from Apothecary Diaries. She's one of the concubines of the king. She doesn't really show her real personality that much but she is very aloof. It's for you to figure out why she is smiling her in my drawing.

August Fanart is Rice Shower from Umamusume: Pretty Derby! Anime. She is called The Black Assassin but it's totally the opposite from her personality. She is kind, very sweet, and very shy but has an awesome determination to reach her goals.

September Fanart is Zenitsu Agatsuma from Demon Slayer Anime. After watching the movie, I knew I had to draw him. He was not scared and had this ominous killing intent while falling inside the Demon Castle.

October Fanart is Yor Forger from SpyxFamily Anime. One of the badass character from the anime aside from Anya. I like both her personality when she's just an ordinary person and when she's in femme fatale mode.

November Fanart is Momo Ayase from Dandadan Anime. She's an outgoing character, very funny, and goofy personality. She may look mean at first, but she's very down to earth and has a kind heart. I also like her character design, her Gyaru( idk if this is the right term) outfit or style looks really cool.

And last but not the least, the December Fanart is Umaru Doma from Himouto! Umaru Chan Anime. She's one of the adorable characters that I've watched this year. When she's in her Chibi form you know it's gonna be a riot. Definitely worth the watch anime. I'm also planning to watch the second season next year.

I just read a heartbreaking news last week (Dec 22, 2025) that the Author's Sister which Umaru chan's character is based from, had already passed away a long time ago and just revealed it last week. He didn't announced it right after his sister's passing because he wants the readers remember the sweet and funny side of Umaru Chan.

You can hear him talk about his sister on this video Here. It is in Japanese but there's an auto-dubbing in the settings > Audio Track > English.


I'm glad I did this challenge and I want to continue this next year. Sticking to the goal and being consistent despite the hurdles in life, is what I learned while doing this challenge. Also next year, I like to explore more art style and maybe try to reduce the time I draw each piece.

Okay..I thought it was already clear, and you’ve even apologized for overstepping my boundaries, yet you still don't stop, do you? Stop your delusions. It will never be mutual. I do not find it 'sweet' that you are stalking me and finding me everywhere online. You're being an obsessed creep. Stop the green hearts and the prayer posts—God can't help you with this. Sorry that I overstepped again, for being concerned. I saw your pfp in my inbox blank and that's why I sent you a message asking if you're okay because I remembered what happened the last time when you temporarily deactivated your account and the reason behind it.

I don't know where you get that I'm stalking you. If this was the Babymetal post, I didn't searched for it and I was already following the facebook fan page last august. I didn't even know you watched the concert until I saw that tagged post of you from the fan page. I even messaged you about the post and congratulated you cause I know you're a big fan of them.

About the prayer posts with hearts. I posted those after you've unfollowed me there and I'm just expressing my thoughts on my account. I never thought you would still check my account after unfollowing me there. Also, I've been including you in my prayers a few months after we've started exchanging messages. I even told you that I'm praying for you and your business, this was around April or May.

I've been supportive to everyone that I've had interacted with online on their artworks/crafts. I liked every post and stories/reels they made and not just only you. It only looked liked you're the only page I liked on facebook because you're the only friend left that has an active fb page that I followed on that fb account.

You're the reason why I made it blank because you don't stop. Put your 'concern' somewhere else. I'm not as devastated as you picture me in your head. And the reason behind the deactivation back then wasn't about what you're thinking of. Not every changes I make is related to that person. That person doesn't matter anymore and has been long forgotten.

Oh, I know you've been liking everyone else's content. I see it even before. Makes me wonder how much free time you have in a day to like everybody's content.

I sent you the message cause I was happy for you. After several years you've finally saw them live.
Am I bad for just being happy for you?

Of course it was because of you. You've been using their music on your posts or profile and heard it several times on youtube. I listen to any genre of music and it changes every time, the ones you've heard are just the current music that I liked. The anime and food suggestions you've gave, of course I would try watch and eat it because I'm curious about it too. Matching interest didn't even crossed my mind.

I never forced or pester you for any picture of you and you voluntarily send those pics of you. You were even happy that you found the emo pic you sent to me. And I think it's the other person you're referring to.

Oh the one that I asked if you have a pic of an anime character that you've cosplayed? This is all I can remember asking you. I asked because you've been sending your pics before without me asking and I thought it was okay. Also, I can't remember the one that you said that you refused.
