A Surprise Dinner Adventure to American Roadhouse 🍕✨

Aloha, fellow Hiverians!
We found a new spot today, and I’m excited to introduce this place to all of you.

It was around 5 PM, and I was about to cook rice when a sudden thought came to my mind. I jokingly told Nanay Ladia, “What if we have pizza tonight?” Hahaha, just kidding! But then Nanay said, “Yeah, why not?” So without hesitation — and without even taking a bath after a long day, haha — we headed out.
First, we stopped at one of the famous cafés, Sticky Buns, but sadly they were already closed. Then we went to another well-known place near the supermarket, Kape Calle, but they didn’t have pizza or even carbonara, our favorite. So Pastor Jose suggested, “What if we go to the place where we used to eat before?” They now have a branch located at the boundary between Candijay and Guindulman, my hometown. And just like that, without hesitation—travel on!

The place is called “American Roadhouse.” The owner is an American, and his wife is Filipina. According to her, they used to stay in Guindulman near the lake, but they were only renting there. Eventually, they discovered this area, which wasn’t too expensive, so they decided to buy it. They built it to feel like a home—they actually live on the other side of the building while serving customers in the dining area.

The restaurant is air-conditioned, the tiles are beautiful, and the whole place feels intimate, quiet, and peaceful. And yes, they serve really good food!

On the second floor, they have two rooms for couples and one room for families. We were introduced to each one by the owner, and we got to see them all. The rooms were simple yet elegant—perfect for couples and families. They looked like rooms in a five-star hotel, the standard was truly impressive. This room was one of my favorite room so far, it's so cool. The price per room isn’t too expensive; it’s just right and very reasonable for the quality they offer.

Even their comfort rooms are of a very high standard, equipped with hot and cold showers—phew! Everything was beautifully planned and designed.

And the third floor?
Yes—here’s what they offer! They have a videoke on this top of their building, perfect for those who love to sing their hearts out, and they also offer milk tea. 🎤🧋

And wait—there’s more!
Look at this place—it's absolutely perfect for birthdays and wedding occasions. The view outside is stunning, a beautiful nature scenery that makes the whole experience even more special. 🌿✨
The feeling of being here—sitting at this very table—excited to try something new (especially when it’s about food, my favorite! Hahaha) truly humbles me. I’m grateful to experience this kind of love and thankful to God for this opportunity, and for having Nanay Ladia and Pastor Jose with me for this dinner. I feel so blessed!
So here we gooooo, so excited to introduce their food 🤤
This is a Hawaiian Pizza, it so crunchy unlike other pizzas, and the taste just so perfect for my taste, satisfied stomach, happy me!
This Caesar's Salad is my first time, as I even had my first bite yum, the taste is so good. Perfect! As well as their Carbonara, this one is another kind of Carbonara I've tasted. It's so good. I'm so full for real
A photo of the three of us!
I’m so grateful to God because I have them—such a blessing to me, not only financially but in every need of my whole being.
That night reminded me how beautiful life can be when we embrace spontaneity, cherish simple moments, and surround ourselves with people who bring warmth to our hearts. What started as a random joke about pizza turned into an unforgettable experience filled with laughter, good food, and genuine connection. Truly, God knows the desires of our hearts gives us moments like these not just to enjoy, but to remember how blessed we are.
Feeling grateful, humbled, and blessed. đź’›
