My MultifunctionTelephoto Lens. Was It Worth Buying?

11 September 2025

I started loving photography when I ventured into blogging. There’s something about capturing moments, landscapes, and little details around me that makes me feel happy. So, one day, while browsing a TikTok shop, I saw this live selling highlighting a telephoto lens with amazing features. It instantly captured my attention, so I added it to my basket and checked out. A few days later, the telephoto lens arrived. The shipment was faster than expected.

I was too excited to open my parcel, as I also want to promote it once I am satisfied. The telephoto lens can also be used as a monocular with the eyepiece hood mounted. The idea of having a 2-in-1 tool for both photography and sightseeing sounded perfect for me.

At first, I liked how convenient it was. The lens is light, easy to carry around, and simple to attach to my camera. And...it's like a cute DLSR camera! Turning it into a monocular was also very quick, which I thought would be great for exploring outdoors and capturing cute creatures out in nature. For someone who enjoys both photos and views, it seemed like a smart buy.

But when I started using it, I was honestly disappointed. The photos weren’t as amazing as I expected. The colors looked a bit dull, blurry, and the details I usually love to capture just didn’t pop.
Even when I tried it as a monocular, it was only okay and didn’t give me the wow factor I was hoping for. And the dark corners don't seem to make the photo amazing.

As much as I wanted to love this lens because it's cute, I can’t say I’d recommend it to fellow photography lovers. Let's say it’s convenient, easy to use, and cute, but the quality isn’t great enough if you really care about getting clear, beautiful shots. If you’re just a casual user, it's probably fine. But if photography is your passion, I’d suggest saving up for a better photo lens.

So, this telephoto lens was more of a disappointment than a game-changer. It reminded me that when it comes to photography and anything else, quality matters more than convenience.

But in case you want this and curious about its price, you can check this link.

Thanks for your time.

It might not be as clear as you expected but it can still actually capture the moment just not the details you want.

Although we all have cameras in our hands on mobile phones, such cameras are still worth it because they're captured a lot of good picture

Bummer too bad it didnt meet the hype you were expecting. It just goes to show looks and appearances are not everything. Hope it wasn't too much of a drop in the bucket! Maybe somethings you haven't figured out yet with it will suddenly be discovered.

Seeing the pictures I won't buy it for sure. It was indeed cute buy not worthy to waste money on it.

I have lenses in the past for phones and have found them to be a complete waste of money. We pay for we get, sorry you were disappointed.

Greetings friend, a pleasure to greet you. Are you still in the Philippines or did you return to Japan?
I see that the photos are really not that clear, they are blurry. What could have been a more detailed photo left a lot to show.

Have you thought of returning it back? They should change it for you, I think. I would say it was worth the buy but reading your review about it isn’t fair. Such a camera could have done so much than getting such a blurry pictures.

i guess it will depend on the camera that you put behind the lens, some have beter results on higher ISO then others , also the size of the camera sensor can make a difference , but it could also be that the lens is build with poor optics . hard to say ..

I bet it's because of the poor optics.. it's not expensive so low quality 😅
