Start of my seventh semester at university: Closer to graduation. [Eng/Esp]

I hope you are all doing well. Today I want to talk to you about the start of my seventh semester at university and my return to the classroom. This is why I have started posting a little less regularly than usual, because now I have to get up early and spend hours and hours at university.

And when I get home, all I want to do is sleep, even if I have homework or work to do. One advantage I certainly have, which not many people enjoy, is that I live about 20-30 minutes from college. That's why I walk to college every morning. This semester my classes start at 7 a.m. I put them in those hours because there is less sun at that time, and as someone who lives on an island, I can tell you that the sun in Margarita at this time of year is not good at all.

But, as I was saying, my classes start at 7 a.m. and end in the afternoon or at noon, depending on the day of the week. There are classes that I attend one after another without a break in between, which means that on average I spend about 5 hours in a classroom until the next class starts. The good thing is that I already know the professor and he teaches very well.

Usually, after class, my friends and I go to the green areas of the university and sit for a while or go to buy food or something to drink at the different food stalls there. One thing I want to point out is that there are too many trees at my university, and by too many I mean too many, which always bear fruit such as mangoes or pumalacas (a sour fruit), and when the fruit is low enough, the students pick it to eat.

My university is also surrounded by mountains, so it's a mostly enclosed area with only two conventional entrances: one at the top and one at the bottom.

After classes end, I stay at the university for a while longer talking to my friends, or we take one of the buses that serve the university. I don't walk, because by the time I usually leave the university, it's already quite late, and the road I usually take is very busy with cars, or it's usually very sunny, so I prefer to take the bus in this case.

After finishing all my classes at university, I come home just to eat, do homework, and sleep, so I'm ready for the next day. The good thing is that, as the Christmas season approaches on the island, it starts to rain and get very cold. So, at that time, it's not so sunny, and instead, I have to dress very warmly. In addition, on Christmas fair days, university students sell food, drinks, and even necklaces, bracelets, and other items, which is how I know that classes are coming to an end.

Espero que se encuentren bien. Hoy les quiero hablar del inicio de mi séptimo semestre en la universidad y mi vuelta a las aulas de clase. Esta ha sido la razón por la que empecé a publicar con un poco de menor regularidad de lo normal, porque ahora tengo que pararme temprano y pasar horas y horas en la universidad.

Y ya cuando llego a mi casa solo quiero dormir, aunque tenga tarea por hacer o trabajo por realizar. Una ventaja que ciertamente tengo y de la que no muchos gozan, es que yo vivo a unos 20-30 minutos de la universidad. Razón por la que me voy caminando todas las mañanas hasta la universidad. Este semestre mis clases inician desde la 7, las metí en esas horas porque A esa hora hay menos sol y, como persona que vive en una isla, les digo que el sol de Margarita en estas épocas no es nada bueno.

Pero, como iba diciendo, mis clases empiezan a las 7 a. m. y terminan ya en la tarde o al mediodía, dependiendo del día de la semana que sea. Hay clases que las veo seguidas una tras otras sin descanso de por medio, lo que hace que en promedio pase viendo clases unas 5 horas dentro de un salón, hasta que empiecen la siguiente clase. Lo bueno es que el profesor ya lo conozco y enseña muy bien.

Por lo general, después de terminar una clase, salimos mis amigos y yo a las áreas verdes de la universidad y nos sentamos un rato o vamos a comprar comida o algo de beber en los diferentes puestos de comida que hay. Algo que destaco es que en mi universidad hay demasiados árboles y con demasiados les digo demasiados, los cuales siempre dan fruta como mangos o pumalacas (es una fruta ácida), y cuando están muy bajos los frutos, los estudiantes los agarran para comer.

Mi universidad también está rodeada de montañas, por lo que es una zona en su mayoría cerrada, la cual solo tiene dos entradas convencionales: una por arriba y otra por abajo.

Después de que las clases terminen, me quedo un rato más en la universidad hablando con mis amigas o directamente tomamos uno de los autobuses que trabajan en la universidad. No voy a pie, porque a las horas que suelo irme de la universidad, ya es algo tarde y por la carretera que suelo pasar está muy transitada por autos, o suele hacer mucho sol, así que prefiero agarrar autobús en este caso.

Después de terminar todas mis clases en la universidad, ya llego es a mi, casa a solo comer, hacer tareas y dormir, para estar lista para el siguiente día. Lo bueno es que, como ya se acerca la temporada navideña en la isla, empieza a llover y a hacer mucho frío. Por lo que en ese tiempo no hace tanto sol y, en cambio, tengo que ir muy abrigada. Además de que los estudiantes de la universidad, en los días de feria navideña, venden comida, bebidas e incluso collares, pulseras y demás, ahí yo sé que las clases ya están terminando.
