[ENG/ESP] Among sweets, fruits and landscapes, overcoming setbacks
The weekend is almost over and with it, my rest, which being more honest, I have had to solve some unforeseen events. It has not been the relaxing weekend I had hoped for, but I have tried to keep a positive attitude and face every setback with a smile.
Here on the Island, the sun has been out bright as usual, shining with a force that seems almost palpable. However, some nights have been damp and cold, which has stirred up allergies at home. The contrast between sunny days and humid nights has been noticeable and challenging.
Ya casi termina el fin de semana y con él, mi descanso, que siendo más honesta, he tenido que resolver algunos imprevistos. No ha sido el fin de semana relajante que había esperado, pero he intentado mantener una actitud positiva y enfrentar cada contratiempo con una sonrisa.
Acá en la Isla, el sol ha salido intenso como de costumbre, brillando con una fuerza que parece casi palpable. Sin embargo, algunas noches están siendo húmedas y frías, lo que ha alborotado las alergias en casa. El contraste entre los días soleados y las noches húmedas ha sido notable y desafiante.
We had to go to the doctor and nebulize because the compressor at home was damaged and we had to go to the CDI. The doctor told us that we had to nebulize for three days, so we decided to look for a more practical solution. We went to the closest Farmatodo to our house, which is on 31 de Julio Avenue, and bought a portable nebulizer to use temporarily until our nebulizer was fixed.
Tuvimos que ir al médico y nebulizarnos porque el compresor de casa se dañó y tuvimos que ir al CDI. El doctor nos dijo que teníamos que nebulizarnos por tres días, así que decidimos buscar una solución más práctica. Nos dirigimos a Farmatodo más cercano a nuestra casa que está en la avenida 31 de julio y compramos un nebulizador portátil para usar temporalmente hasta que nos arreglen el nuestro.
At Farmatodo we can always find what we need, at least for us it is an excellent pharmacy with affordable prices. We were able to buy everything we needed for our allergies to improve, including medications and additional supplies. The customer service was exceptional, and we left there feeling more at ease.
Despite the setbacks, we always tried to put the best face on the bad weather and could not help but appreciate the excellent urban and natural scenery that surrounded us. The beauty of this island is unmatched, we are very fortunate to live here, where sun, sea and nature are the best action.
En Farmatodo siempre podemos encontrar lo que necesitamos, al menos para nosotros es una farmacia excelente y con precios accesibles. Pudimos comprar todo lo necesario para que nuestras alergias mejoraran, incluyendo medicamentos y suministros adicionales. La atención al cliente fue excepcional, y salimos de allí sintiéndonos más tranquilos.
A pesar de los contratiempos, siempre tratamos de ponerle al mal tiempo la mejor de nuestras caras y no podíamos dejar de apreciar los excelentes paisajes urbanos y naturales que nos rodeaban. La belleza de esta isla es inigualable, somos muy afortunados de vivir aquí, donde el sol, el mar y la naturaleza son la mejor acción.
We only needed to get the dexamethasone and they told us that we could get it at the mall. We took advantage of the opportunity, since we also had to pick up some things for my dad. So we headed there, already in the late afternoon. The mall was bustling and full of life, with people doing their last minute shopping.
Solo nos faltaba conseguir la dexametasona y nos dijeron que la podíamos conseguir en el centro comercial. Aprovechamos la oportunidad, ya que también teníamos que ir a buscarle algunas cosas a mi papá. Así que nos dirigimos allá, ya cayendo la tarde. El centro comercial estaba animado y lleno de vida, con personas realizando sus compras de último momento.
We always stop by the river bakery to buy some sweets and nuts that are so beneficial for health and good brain activity. The sweets are a small treat that allows us to enjoy the local flavors and the dried fruits give us the energy we need to face the day to day.
With all our goals accomplished, we finally headed home to complete our treatment so we could be in tip top shape to start our work week without difficulty. We felt satisfied that we had handled the weekend's unforeseen events efficiently.
Siempre pasamos por la panadería de río para comprar algunos dulces y frutos secos que son tan beneficiosos para la salud y la buena actividad cerebral. Los dulces son un pequeño placer que nos permite disfrutar de los sabores locales y los frutos secos nos brindan la energía necesaria para enfrentar el día a día.
Con todos nuestros objetivos cumplidos, finalmente nos dirigimos a casa para cumplir nuestro tratamiento y poder estar en excelente forma para comenzar nuestra semana laboral sin dificultad. Nos sentíamos satisfechos por haber manejado los imprevistos del fin de semana de manera eficiente.
